Tis the Season for Baseball

Lots going on around here! Matt and I were away for a few days so the boys stayed with Nana and Granddaddy. We came home to the busiest week ever. Christopher had his first t-ball game and he could not have made us any prouder. He was the first batter up- he got a hit from the coach pitching it to him (Coach Matt) and hit off the tee the second time.  He paid attention in the field and got a ball. He has had two games since then- 2 hits off the tee and 2 hits from the coach pitch. This last game he got quite a few balls in the field too.

Christopher was so excited to get his uniform. I heard him say to the coach during practice- "uhhh uhhh Coach Dan do you have my uniform?" He couldn't wait to get it! The back of it says McDill and he picked #2.

At the Opening Day ceremonies- waiting for the parade to begin.

I have not clue how we ended up on his buddy's team- but we did!
Elliot and Christopher with the team sign.
I need to laminate it so we can hang it on the dugout during games.

No clue what this was... but he was very excited about it.

Who doesn't love eating ice cream out of the carton?!?!

My picture of Christopher before we left to go to Mexico.

Caleb turned 6 months! He is 16 pounds and ....ummm... 27 inches maybe? #secondbaby
He is the happiest little sucker though. And he is almost 7 months now that I finally got this blog written!

Pumping iron with mommy. It really was some bicep curl he managed.

One morning in paradise.

Our first night in Mexico. Matt and I are terrible about taking pictures so this is one of the only ones we got of us.

Christopher was beyond excited when we got home. Matt and I had to wake up at 3:55 that morning for our plane home and you know we couldn't suggest movie watching on the couch when we got home. He kept asking us if we were happy to be home with him. :)

Winter Break

We have been on Winter Break this week and it has been glorious! Matt had off on Monday so we took the kids to daycare and spent the day shopping for our trip to Mexico. The 2 Cs and I have had lots of playtime and relaxation time (some of us more than others).

My favorite day so far was yesterday. I invited Christopher's buddies over for a playdate and they played for hours. It was so nice to see Christopher have fun with all his friends. They played on the playset.. and their cars... with playdoh and then in the playroom. Lots and lots of running and laughing (and maybe a tad bit of arguing).

Enjoy the pics! :)

Christopher's valentines for the kids at daycare. Those teddy bears were quite time consuming and when I showed them to Christopher (he knew I was making them) I said- What do you think? And his response... I don't think. They are not cool. They look like people with legs- that's not a bear. Where is my Lego candy? He wanted to give Lego candy for his valentines but the little kids at daycare can't eat that since they are so young... so we saved that for Austin.

Practicing after baseball practice. I will no longer call it t-ball because it is coach pitch until after 3 pitches and then they break out the tee.

Christopher is in the middle. He was so giddy the whole time. He must have looked at me and Matt twenty times and hopped up and down with excitement. C did so well- I told him I didn't care if he hit the ball or caught the ball, BUT he better listen to the coach the first time he says something- and he did! He was so attentive- He still didn't step when he threw the ball...

Caleb has learned to spit and thinks it's just great to do while eating. Christopher doesn't help much- he just eggs him on the whole time.

Such a sincere goodbye hug.

Austin joined in on the hugging.

And then Elliot needed in!

So fun!! :)

Caleb got to meet his best friend last weekend! Austin's little brother was born 2 weeks ago.

So not kid related... but my tray I made at craft night!

Uncle Anthony and Aunt Sara are fostering a little 10 week old puppy... so of course we had to go see it, especially since Christopher got to name it. Baseball, Spot and then he finally decided on Bolt.

Ready to go to the basement. I love snapping pics like this because that face just tells it all.

Caleb drinking his coffee (sucking on his coffee teether).

Valentine's Day at daycare.

Christopher's new game- racing two cars down the side and seeing who wins and ho lands in the pit. Mine somehow always went in the pit.

I am not sure what came out of his mouth next. That finger point kills me.

I love this picture! Christopher is the big kid at school. This little boy gets there the same time as us and every morning C says I hope he doesn't laugh at me today. I have tried to tell him that he isn't laughing at him, he thinks he is funny- but of course Christopher doesn't accept that as an answer.

We took donuts for V-Day. Christopher got a special heart donut.

Have a great weekend!

February is Here!

Just a quick update!
Christopher is signed up for tee ball. Not sure when they start practice, but his first game is March 12th! I hope some of our athletic ability transferred to him and he won't be picking grass out there. We took Christopher out for a special night with just the three of us- he got all his gear and then we took him to the Melting Pot. I totally thought we were going to like Chick-fil-a and Matt decided we should take him somewhere fun. He definitely did have fun... and it's so true. When you tell someone not to do something, they want to do it more. He stuck his finger where the pot goes of course. No burn though- lucky duck.
We started Caleb on solids last week. He tried sweet potatoes and this week we did carrots. I think he is getting more used to it and actually seemed to like the carrots. He is still such a good, sweet baby. He loves his exersaucer and jumperoo. I still haven't tried the door jumper yet- that may be coming soon.
Enjoy!

After morning nap time snuggles- aren't Saturdays the best? I
wish Sundays were snuggly, but church calls.

Caleb and Christopher at 5 months. Caleb is still so much skinnier... even though he has filled out pretty nicely. Sometimes when Christopher runs at me, I have flashbacks to days of Anthony running at me to hit me. C1 certainly looks like Anthony in that pick!

Getting all his baseball gear for tee ball.

Family workout.... if you put the word family in front of anything, Christopher is all about it. Dinner? No, I'm not hungry... Family dinner? Okay, I'm sitting next to daddy. Hug? No I'm okay... Family hug? YAY! You can imagine his excitement for a family workout!

Gorgeous weather this week meant playtime with Austin.... and all they wanted to do was play Let's Go Fishing.

Playtime loving.

So big!!! He loves carrots! :)

Daddy needed a picture of both boys for his work... This was it.

Bouncing in his jumperoo.

Christopher was jacked up about this!
He got to go to the Notre Dame girls basketball game at Georgia Tech... and ride a shuttle there.. and stay in a hotel (and it has a REFRIGERATOR, MOMMY!!!). Mom said he talked the whole way from daycare to GA Tech.

We went to practice on Sunday. Christopher remembered some stuff from sports camp... but he also didn't want any advice. Finally, we got fed up with him not listening about stepping while throwing and we left.
It's going to be a long season...

Horsey Nana!

That's it!
Have a great weekend!!!!
Be kind.

Happy New Year- 2016

Happy 2016!
Well, here we are in 2016. I would say I am not off to the greatest blogging start... oops! It's been super busy around here. Caleb started daycare with Christopher at the beginning of the month. We have been adjusting to that new schedule... 5 am wake-up is soooo early. We are always ready to go 10 minutes early, but I am afraid to sleep in an extra 10 minutes for fear of being late. Caleb is trying to figure out his evening nap with this schedule which has made dinner difficult. Thank goodness for my mom who likes to bring over dinner and the George Foreman which grills up chicken in like 4 minutes. :) Christopher asks every day for his buddy to come over and I always have to tell him no because "Caleb needs to nap," which makes me feel so bad. They did get one evening of play time for like 20 minutes- but it was enough to make Christopher happy....and I find that I have more and more work to do every day so blogging has kinda been pushed to the side.
I hope you enjoy the pics!

Christopher is on the left and Caleb is on the right. He is so much longer and skinnier than Christopher was at this age! (and no, I don't see much of a similarity)

This was my favorite picture of Caleb during his monthly photo shoot. I was so busy clicking the pics... and he toppled right over.

Playtime on the floor!

Helping daddy cut some wood... well that was until he found out that it was going to be loud and he bolted up the stairs.

Caleb wearing his ND shirt while we watched the Fiesta Bowl!

Christopher was all suited up.

Do you see Nana and Granddaddy? Mom has her finger in the air saying number 1 and dad has arms crossed. I swear they were on the TV for like 1 second, but I knew that was dad with the tan hat and crossed arms!

We rang in the New Year with the Larkins... well we almost did. I am pretty sure Christopher was sleep standing at different moments. Christopher doesn't stay up late often and needless to say, he was not having it this night either.  Finally I had to tell him the next time he cried, the night was over for him. He made it until 11:45 and passed out.

First day of Ms. Jeanne's for Caleb! Christopher was so excited to take him with him that first day.

Building a fireplace with Granddaddy.

Peekaboo!

Caleb loves to smile at himself in the mirror. You can kinda see his dimple in this one.

What a cheeseball. He is holding Caleb's hand on the way to church. They ride like this a lot.

Just having some preschool. Christopher was the teacher and told us what to color.

Okay! That's it!!
Have a great week!
