Lots of Learning

Christopher is such a little sponge. He is learning so much! The other night Matt was counting in his room and he said "one, two" Christopher said "three" Matt said "four" Christopher said "five" and that went on all the way to ten. Now will he do it again. No. BUT he is trying to count things a lot. He just doesn't have one to one correspondence yet obviously. He was counting his animals today and started at 3 and ended at 10- in order too! I am thinking he may sound like a southerner too... His favorite letters are B and C and he loves singing his ABCs. You can tell they do so much learning during the day.

Christopher was having a super hard time before we went to Mexico with fits, but thankfully they seem to have subsided and he seems to be doing so much better.  I wouldn't say they are non-existent ... I mean he is almost 2.... but I have only seen one in the past week. Thank goodness.

Enjoy the pictures and videos!
Nico is nice enough to drive Christopher around all the time! Christopher says "Nico- GOOOOOO!"

Doing his mountain climbers.

Austin and Christopher tried to run away. It wasn't that easy to catch them!

Running with the jump rope. They were squealing the whole way! FREEDOM!

They hijacked Richard's truck for a picture.

We went to the mall on Saturday to get Christopher some new shoes. Holy foot growth. I had him in a pair of 5s... and totally thought they felt fine... and we walked out with a pair that were 6 and a half. Oops.

So the Easter Bunny was at the mall... there was no line. What was he doing there so early? Easter is so far away. Christopher kept saying bunny so we went over. He didn't want to be held by the bunny.. but we did get a picture. Frame worthy right? LOL. I probably wouldn't have even had bought the pics but someone was snapping pictures of me and Christopher talking to the bunny and we got in trouble for taking pictures... therefore, we purchased.

Christopher's buddy turned two this week! Christopher enjoyed watching him open his presents...

and he enjoyed reading his new books.

Daddy bought them matching hats.

New shoes.... new feet problems for daddy. (wrong feet)

Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

It has been my longest hiatus of blogging to date. Probably because we had a million and one things going on! Days have been super busy and as soon as Christopher is down... it's rest time!

Matt and I just got back from a trip to Mexico! It took everything I had to agree to go on this trip. Matt has been gone before but I have only left Christopher for one night and that was to go an hour away... not out of the country for 5 days! Thank goodness for Skype! Christopher stayed home with Granddaddy and Nana. I have a few pictures from when we were there of Christopher and I have a few pictures of Mexico!
Nana let Christopher play on the back deck. Mommy still thinks he is going to slide through a crack. I did let him play out there a few days this week. We took out his table and had dinner one night and then he colored and I graded papers the next night. Multi-tasking. I graded papers in crayons. Mommy color. :)

Right after Granddaddy got here. He came in Sunday to spend a few extra training days with Christopher.

Watching Sofia.

You know when you have somewhere to be... that's when the longest naps occur? Snacktime isn't normally done in bed, but we were trying to get ready to go somewhere and he needed his snack and we needed to get ready..... And there ya have it.

And this is the face of someone who didn't get a nap this day.... Talk about falling asleep at dinner.

Reading before daycare!

I think this might be the only picture I got of Matt and I in Mexico! :) We didn't carry our phones around so therefore we don't have many pictures!

This was the entrance to our resort.

Is that not the prettiest? Our resort by far had the most spectacular entrance of any resort. We passed the one we stayed at for our honeymoon which we thought was awesome then.

Thank you, Apex (and Matt for working so hard so that we got to go)! This was the sign posted on the resort. What an awesome trip.

From our balcony...

Looking the other way on our balcony.

You know I think I am the most athletic person in the world so I had to give beach volleyball a try... this was before the bruising got really bad!

Surprisingly enough, Matt and I did really well being away. Christopher did awesome too. He cared about us the first time we called... and after that he would say hi and want to play. Mom would say "talk to your mom and dad" and he would come over and say "bbbyyyyyyyeeee" and run away.

We headed down to Dunwoody yesterday to go to a meeting with Daddy! Christopher LOVED this door! This is him wanting to go back in!

Coloring on mommy's school stuff.

Sporting his new Penguins shirt from Granddaddy.

And this is today. Christopher has played and played and played. I am pretty sure he will be just fine being an only child. He can surely keep himself amused!

Chowing down. I love his face here.

And this is what he is currently doing. I am typing this and he has been playing with his trains. I think we are going on 30 minutes now.

And in other news... did you hear Nana and Granddaddy sold their house? They close May 5th and have started looking for houses down here. Of course they won't officially be here for a couple months but it is all very exciting! I can't wait for Sunday dinners!

That's all for now! Have a great evening!
