The Last Couple of Weeks...

I have lots of pictures to share, so I am just going to tell about our last few days with the pictures!

We went to the zoo last week. I asked Christopher all week "Do you want to go to the zoo?" and he always said "no- I wanna play in my playroom" or "no- the lions might get me." Finally he said yes! But it was a definite "Okay.... but I am only going to say hi to the lions, I don't want to play with them." Well, rest assured, Christopher, no one is going to let you play with them! :) It has been incredibly hot here in GA, but I found the zoo wasn't that bad! Lots of shaded parts and of course- the water fountains!

Water fountains before we left...

Panda bears...

Before he said hi to the lions...

That's a friendly looking lion.

Of course, we had to play at the playground....

The petting zoo... (YUCK- notice who got the pleasure of going in)

The carousel...

The train ride...

A dead zebra carcass...

We also went and had lunch with Matt one day. Christopher was so excited to go. After Matt returned from his last trip, Christopher made him promise NO MORE TRIPS. In fact, Christopher has been getting up earlier and earlier since Matt came back and says "Is daddy still here?" and giggles like a schoolgirl when I say yes.

Waiting patiently...

While eating lunch, Christopher said "I want to go to your work, daddy. I wanna see you do something." Daddy brought him back in and let him wear his headset to call Uncle... but he didn't answer.

Christopher and I also spent lots of time in the sun.... We played outside a lot and went to our pool.

He obviously did not feel like he got enough sun at the pool.

Playing baseball. He is starting to be able to actually hit the ball pretty well when you throw it to him, so playing inside is getting a little dangerous.

After taking Nana to the airport last weekend, we had to stop and get fitted for his suit for Uncle's wedding. All the boys got fitted. Christopher told Uncle he wanted to wear his Batman outfit for his wedding...

In his jacket...

Another underwear picture?!?! He just looked so funny with his legs crossed. He has mastered the whole "hand under the popsicle" at the end so if it falls (which it did) he can catch it.

I cannot tell you how much hockey I have played this week. Every day we get home, he makes ME put this outfit on and play and then he wants to wear it to be the "net guy" for one time... and then I have to put it back on again.

... and hockey with these little guys. He got these for Christmas and still plays with them daily. I would say that was a great present, Uncle!

His requested snack- Italian bread with butter.

... and more baseball. (at least he has clothes on this time) We were watching Jeter's last game at Yankee Stadium and he went and got all of his stuff to play.

Christopher and Austin got to have a picnic on Tuesday! Christopher was so excited when his daddy came home with this lunchbox for him Monday night.

Christopher got to spend Friday with his buddy Luke! He had so much fun- well, once he stopped being super afraid of the water. We had a bucket fall on us and when that happened I became the worst person in the world. However, once he stopped being a jerk, I feel like he actually loosened up and was actually swimming and enjoying himself way more.

And some daycare pics...
Austin got bit by something so of course Christopher had to get some of that magic potion too.

38 Months

Happy June 17th! Christopher turns 38 months old today! It's okay to still celebrate monthly birthdays after one year old, right? We do. Christopher always gets his Citrus Lane box and a little something extra in his piggy bank.

While Matt went away last weekend (again), Kate, Avery, Rachel and Aunt Nancy cane to visit. I didn't get too many pictures, but here are a few.

The next time Kate asked if Avery could sit next to him, he said "my phone is there". He did end up moving his phone and letting her sit down, but then when she touched him with her foot, he moved to the couch.

Holding Avery on the couch. It didn't last long but he did ask to hold her a lot.

Snuggling with Kate before bed.

I think he liked the baby. He seemed to want to see what she was doing and when he woke up each morning he asked if the "girls were still here". I know that he didn't like being corrected. Like if someone told him he needed to be more gentle or if someone felt like he did something wrong. He was in a great mood the morning they left, until Aunt Nancy and Rachel got there because then that meant the baby was leaving. He wouldn't say bye to anyone and wouldn't stop crying.

Everyone came into town because there was a wedding shower for Sara and Anthony. While I was at the shower, Uncle Anthony took Christopher to LEGOLAND. He had been promising Christopher they could go since his birthday. C seemed to have lots of fun, Anthony on the other hand came home asking for a drink. Apparently there was LOTS of kids there. hehehe.

Before bed that night, Christopher told me that Uncle told him NO- and I am assuming it was because of this picture. Anth said he had to tell him to get off, but why would you put something kids can't climb on in the middle of a foam pit?!?!

On the ride ready to shoot the bad guys!

Uncle bought him the Ninja Turtles Lego set.

After Legoland and the shower, all the girls wanted to go to the outlets and I just wanted to relax! Christopher and I had such a great evening together eating dinner and watermelon and playing on the deck.

watermelon popsicle

That's a lot of watermelon.

Sitting in the plant holder... He eventually fell over.

Making something special for daddy.

Popsicles on the porch at Nana's after the pool yesterday!

Popsicles on our porch after playing in the heat!

Today we are going to have lunch with Matt. Christopher is off from preschool this week so we are heading to Dunwoody. He also got to spend the night at Nana and Granddaddy's last night. He hasn't stayed there in forever. While he talks as much as his daddy, he is certainly a homebody like his mommy. I took him to the doctor yesterday and she asked him what he liked to do for fun- He likes to play in his playroom. He always likes to be at home where all of his toys are.

Have a great day!

My Little Helper

Matt came home last night after being gone for 4 days. Both Christopher and I were extremely happy to see him. Christopher was awesome for me while he was gone. Before Matt left he told Christopher he had to "be the man of the house and help mommy" and he certainly did. We got new furniture on Friday and since I couldn't lift any boxes, Christopher had to move everything for me. He carried piles of clothes for me, pushed heavy tubs in closets, moved light furniture- definitely a big help. He also helped Nana hang curtains in Caleb's room. He has been so great about helping fix up his room- I found this blue dresser on Pinterest from Ikea and of course I had to have it- it matched the bedding perfectly... you know how IKEA furniture is- well Christopher loved helping put it together. He also gave Caleb a dinosaur for his crib and "helped" me pick out paint colors for his room.

Helping Nana with the curtains-
(I'm sure he really only wanted to help so he could climb the ladder.)

We also celebrated his buddy Luke's birthday this weekend. He jumped in a bounce house and then when everyone was gone... they turned it into a water slide. He is such a fickle little boy sometimes though. He went down twice and then decided he didn't like it anymore. Thankfully, Luke's daddy volunteered to take him down and all was right in his world again.

So fun!

I found some more pictures from our weekend at Joe's wedding-

Uncle Anthony putting on his boutonniere. (That's a hard word to spell!)

Handing his pillow to the best man.

Being a crazy dancer with mommy. Seeing him dressed like this reminds me of my wedding. Dad, Matt and Anthony were down to shirts and pants as soon as the reception started.

Christopher and Francesca.

Francesca, Adam and Christopher. Adam and his brother were so great with Christopher. They played with him on the stairs with his bag of toys and kept him entertained.

We went to Matt's Relay for Life event last week- it was "America" themed. Christopher wore his Captain America shirt and wouldn't leave Steve alone!

Sitting outside for lunch at Miss L's.

My Superhero.

And just a few videos...
