Night in Nashville

I'm not sure what child woke up in Christopher's bed yesterday, but it was surely not the little boy we are used to. This little boy had to go to timeout and argued about everything. Needless to say, when he woke up from his nap in the car and was gone and the real Christopher was back, we were overjoyed.  All morning I kept thinking "How in the world is he going to make it at the game tonight that STARTS at bedtime?!?"  But he lasted and we had a great time!

Enjoy the pictures and stories!

Keeping himself amused with his cars and "roads" while waiting for our room. We turned our little seating area in to quite the play area since we had to wait for an hour for our room.

Cheesing with Uncle! And apparently eating something as well... When we left this morning Christopher wouldn't kiss Anthony goodbye- He kept saying "ku-ku" which is what he says when something is gross. This time it was meaning he didn't want to go near that bearded face. After letting him "pet it" and see that it was only hair... he finally kissed Uncle goodbye, but of course not without saying "ku-ku, uncle hair in my mouth!"

Let's Go Pens! Christopher always has so much fun with Daddy and Uncle!

Anthony had his watch box and it fit Christopher's Thomas train perfectly...
Would you please be my son forever?

Watching the game with Uncle! Much better attention span during a hockey game! So much action- not a whole lot of fighting though, but certainly some checking into the boards- What's that sound?!?! That was his reaction.

Walking to eat before the game.

We sat right next to "the claw" game at the restaurant. Christopher was a lucky winner the first time and got a pink pig... and then he won again later and he somehow got 2 stuffed animals stuck together! I was like "how am I going to fit all this into his Cars bag with all the other toys/clothes/snacks I already have in there?" Well, that's when you teach a lesson on giving. These two little girls played the game a couple times and never won. Christopher kept the pig and took the other two to them for them to have. He went to their table all by himself and gave them their new stuffed animals. They were so sweet and kept telling him "thank you" and wanting to hug him. He was so proud of himself and kept getting all giggly when the mom was telling him what a sweet boy he was! The parents even offered us a round of drinks... but we had a game to get to!

Kinda blurry- but LOOK MOM! THEY GAVE ME A PUCK! Anthony took Christopher down while the teams were warming up and of course, they flipped a puck right over for him! :)

Family selfie! Christopher also made it on the Jumbotron- only Pens fan to make it on! I think once they realized the cute, little fan they had the camera on was a Pens fan, they moved it to Preds fans. When we got into our elevator later at the hotel, a guy said- I remember you from the Jumbotron! Famous! :)

Here we go! I love the hand in the air!

Before we went (and in between being a butt) Christopher got to practice a little football with Eddie and daddy. Don't you love his little warm up outfit- courtesy of Granddaddy from the ND game last weekend. I wish I had video of him kicking because he would stand out there and do like a little jumping dance like he was psyching himself up and then run and "kick" it. You can kinda tell in the bottom left pic.

We picked up Nico from school one day. Christopher was so excited to see him when I went to pick him up. We went and got cupcakes for a fun after school treat.

Oh- just a little morning studying with The Baseball Book and a banana.

What a fun family weekend! Next time we go to Nashville though, I am thinking Christopher will be staying behind at Nana and Granddaddy's...
Have a great week!
Be kind.

Best Day Ever

I am pretty sure Christopher might have considered yesterday the best day ever. We did nothing crazy, but he had such a great time! If you haven't visited Lake Acworth's playground... you need to. I haven't been down there in forever, so I had no idea that they had completely redone the equipment. So much fun. We went after having our Saturday lunch at Miss L's- and let me tell you it was completely my idea, but when we got in the car to leave the playground Christopher said "Daddy. Thank you for taking me to the playground." It was so sweet, but of course I told him we went because it was mommy's idea and he said "oh." Very disappointed that it had not been Daddy's idea. Then, a few hours later we headed down to Uncle Anthony and Sara's house. Christopher was beyond excited about going there, always talking about playing with the doggies. It has been all he has talked about lately, so when Matt and I went to leave to go to dinner- it was no big deal. Anthony took him to play ball and play at the playground. He got new jammies that Sara picked out and shirts that "will make him look like Uncle." Christopher even got to stay up late to watch the first half of the Notre Dame game. We just got home and right now Christopher is drawing a picture- of what you ask? Uncle's house. "Mommy, I have fun at Uncle's house." So sweet.

Enjoy the pics! Some of them are pics from daycare that I love! :)

When we got to Uncle's we saw that they were twins- both rocking their Notre Dame jerseys!

Christopher loves getting in the dog cage. Here he is with one of the four dogs!

Sara likes to get in dog cages too! Rocco tried to get in there too... little too many!

At the Lake Acworth playground!

best. son. ever.

Snack on Friday!

Orange day was Monday. I think every kid had on a pumpkin shirt.
Black day is tomorrow. They also had apple stamping day on Friday and Christopher made an apple tree. He made an umbrella one day this week, but in Christopher's words- I made a gorilla.

Hat day at daycare!

What's up, girl?

Aren't they the cutest bunch of munchkins!

Nana bought some farm animals for the sandbox!

I just love this one! Mr. Librarian?

Giving Stroonz a kiss. Someone has to love on him.

One from the cabin last weekend! :) Fishing in his boots.

2 videos...
(If you are friends with dad on Facebook, these will be repeats!)

It is going to be GORGEOUS here in GA all week! I think today (if we ever get motivated) we are going to hike Red Top Mountain. Next weekend, we are heading to Nashville to take Christopher to the Pittsburgh Penguins game with Uncle and Sara! Should be lots of fun and lots of good pictures! Have a great week!

Pictures Galore...

Oh yes... lots and lots and lots of pictures. The last day I posted was September 23rd... that's quite a long time. In that time, we have done A LOT. The highlights are probably Christopher running in his second race and our weekend at the cabin. Enjoy the pictures and the explanations :) (And I apologize for the crummy pictures. I have no clue what it is going on with the picture quality!)

Granddaddy bought Christopher the "real Buzz" and Christopher loves him and Woody. They go everywhere with us.

We went and hung out with the Miller family... and they have girls. Hence, the pink tricycle.

We went to Touch a Truck after Christopher's race. He loved getting up inside all of the trucks. He always talks about getting on a school bus so I thought for sure that would be his favorite, but he wasn't even interested in it when we got there!

Christopher came and ran in the Wellness Run with me at my school. He did so good! He ran 4 laps around which is about 2/3 of a mile! So proud of him!!

Playing with Nana at her playground.

You know I had to get Christopher a Derek Jeter shirt! When you ask him what he wants to be for Halloween- he says.... a pitcher!!! I tried realllllly hard to find a toddler Andy Pettite shirt or even Jon Smoltz but those were not available- so now he is just going to be a baseball player. He is going to look so cute in his Yankees jersey and baseball pants!

Christopher went to the cabin a day early! Nana sent this to me while I was back home working! Everyone went to the cabin- The Rogers Family, Anthony and Sara, Nana and Granddaddy, and Big Daddy even flew in from Texas. It was a fun and very relaxing weekend! Christopher loved playing with Camryn and Brandon and he had the whole wrap around deck to run around and around and around on. He went fishing in the river behind the house and played lots of cars!

This is Christopher telling me- no more pictures! :)

Take your eyes off of Uncle Anthony and smile for the picture!!!! I took lots.. this was the best one.

Christopher got to feed the deer. They are quite snooty deer. Bama (the deer) didn't like Granny Smith apples so then we cut up some red apples... come to find out, they weren't rotten enough!

Christopher had no fear!

Talk about being spent! Christopher was soooo tired after the trip.

Christopher and I went to watch one of my students play football and they had a petting zoo at the field!

Christopher and Woody getting their haircut!

Dinner for Camryn's birthday.

We painted pumpkins this year instead of carving them. Christopher had lots of fun!

Stretching with daddy before his race.

Family run!

We all know he is number one!

Having fun with Mommy! :) (well, you could call this- "we are all the way at the other end of the culdesac, mommy wants to go home, and doesn't want to listen to a fit.")

And two videos...

And that's all I got! Matt is home from work today so it's time to hang out!! :)
