Holiday Fun

Mom and Dad just left to head home to Va Beach. Christopher has been up since the crack of dawn and is going about 100 miles an hour. This child never stops. The only way to get him to slow down for a millisecond is to put on Sofia the First... then he laughs, smiles, waves at her and yells FIA the whole time, but at least he is contained.

Christopher has had a blast playing with all of his toys. Now we just need to go through all of his old toys and figure out what to keep and what to donate.  Taylor came over to babysit Friday night while the adults went out- the boys to watch the Penguins game and the girls to paint!

Van Gogh's Starry Night - mine is on the left, then Sara's and mom's.  I have decided to make my laundry room into my "gallery" so hopefully I get to go back soon. :)

When we came back from West Virginia... yes like a month ago... Christopher had a cold which drained into his ears.... causing an ear infection. Well, that same ear infection is still here. We have been through 2 rounds of antibiotics and now he has to have the antibiotic shot. He had 2 on Friday, we went for 2 more yesterday.... and back again tomorrow for the last 2. Thankfully, it doesn't damper his spirits or cause him to be fussy- so for that I am grateful.

Here are some pictures from the last few days.

This is the Mickey Mouse ball pit. You can see it causes Christopher's hair to stand straight up. He likes to use it as more of a hamster ball and push down the sides and roll around the room.

Granddaddy was taking these pictures- this was the best one.

Nana and Christopher were waiting for me to find Matt's keys... so they were riding cars in the garage since it was raining outside. Don't worry- I did not let Christopher go out in public like this.

Heading to Target to get some food for his kitchen! Christopher loves to make coffee for people. It is so cute to watch him pretend in his kitchen.

Busy cooking.

This was one of those "Sofia moments."

Trying to sit with Stroonz.

Taking a break from his guitar playing.

Night time cuddling with daddy.

Christopher loves his stuffed animals.... he likes to sleep with his Tigger.

Putting together a puzzle with Nana.

A little train table fun with Daddy.
 And a few videos...
Dancing with the snowman  I cannot remember if I shared this before- either way it is super cute and worth a second viewing if you have already seen it.
Babbling This video contains a lot in it's 45 seconds. Christopher randomly talking... Christopher pretending to go nite nite... and fake crying. Christopher started this whole fake crying thing a couple weeks ago but I have never caught it on video. Sometimes he will even put his hand over his mouth to make it look more real.

That's it for now! Hope everyone has a Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas 2013

Merry Christmas! Christopher had a very full day of presents, running around, eating, dancing... and all things Christmas! I will let the pictures tell the story!

Just a little cuddling action before going down to see what Santa brought!

Christopher got a roller coaster from Santa! I will admit that the first few times he was on it, we were very vigilant about making sure someone was at the bottom, especially on the hardwoods where  he just keeps going and going and going... but after awhile, Christopher figured out how to use his feet to stop and even how to push off at the top. He loves it! Matt posted a great video to Facebook of him riding down and going into his blocks that Uncle Anthony got him.

Trying it out for the first time.

Nana and Granddaddy got Christopher a train table! This was the first thing he saw when he was slowly coming down the stairs... and then he darted down the rest!

The leprechaun brought Christopher his first Notre Dame jersey!

Santa got Christopher a Mickey chair that folds out into a bed. He was supposed to bring a Pottery Barn Anywhere Chair but would you believe they have a 9 character limit on embroidering?!?! I was a little peeved about that- those things aren't cheap so if I am going to spend that money, it should have all 11 letters of his name. Hence, the Mickey chair. I think he will love the fold out bed feature for rainy, movie days.

Granddaddy got a train for Christmas. Christopher was a busy boy trying to help him set it up.

Christopher also got a little kitchen from Santa. It is perfect size and it actually fits right in our kitchen at the end of the counter. This evening I moved it into the kitchen and Christopher followed behind me saying "cee-ko" which I was very confused about.  Once I moved, he opened the oven and there was his Nutri Grain bar from the morning.

Best family photo we got.

Christopher was loving listening to Hot Potato with the Beats by Dre headphones. It was funny watching him because we could hear him singing, but couldn't hear the music he was singing along with. He is quite musical. He sings lots of songs and does parts of songs that I didn't even realize he knew. I think my next blog will be all about his musical talents.

And on to some other pics from the past couple of days...
We had lunch with daddy Monday. Naptime was in the car.

Christmas Eve! Doing his best to convince Santa he should be on the nice list....

Pinterest.

Christmas Children's Mass.... in the gym. The church was full 45 minutes before mass even started.

And one final video of Christopher singing his reindeer song...
Merry Christmas!

Where Did December Go?

It has been forever since I have posted. December just seems to fly by. We have been super busy preparing for Christmas! Nana came last weekend and got to watch Christopher on Friday. You can see some of their fun that they had together below. Everyone is here now for the holidays! We can't quite figure out what in the world Christopher is calling Dad. Sometimes it sounds like g-dad and sometimes its boppa.

Playing in the pots and pans while Nana cooks.

Christopher loves to drive around his stuffed animals.

Christopher was so excited to get this book. It plays a little 5 second Christmas tune when you press the buttons on the side. I was afraid he was going to want to sleep with it but we were able to pry it away from him. It did manage to make it's way into the car the next morning somehow though.

His heart hug pillow giving him a little squeeze.

Christopher got to make a craft at daycare! Not sure how Ms. Jeanne got him to sit long enough to do it!

This is Christopher in the middle of making it. I am thinking he is telling Ms. Jeanne "back off!"

Luke brought donuts for daycare Friday morning! What a fun surprise! Christopher was very excited when Luke shared his donuts with him. What a way to start Christmas Party Day!

Showing daddy how he runs down the hill onto the swing!

We decorated cookies with frosting, sprinkles and marshmallows! Christopher liked eating the frosting.

Ms. Jeanne had presents for the good boys and girls. :) Christopher was the least patient.

Vocab picture cards! Christopher has played with these lots since bringing them home.

Here's an old video that I found on Matt's phone... kinda loud squealing on Christopher's part! peek a boo baseketball

Updated December25th.... Christmas blog coming soon!

Weekly Recap

Is it okay to have this be the first picture you all see? I know it isn't Halloween. I didn't let him go out of the house like this. When we got back from West Virgnineeee, Christopher had a little cold.. which drained into his ear... which meant a long night Monday night and a trip to the doctor's Tuesday morning. Trust me, he was nowhere near as miserable as this picture may lead you to believe. I almost felt bad for being home with him because he was in the best of moods, but he was tired and needed some mommy loving. He was just pissed off because he couldn't get his hat on right.

We cuddled on the couch to watch Chuggington and we fell asleep. Christopher slept for 3 hours. I slept for 2o minutes. Power nap.

Downtown Acworth welcomed Santa to town Friday night! We went to see him arrive.

Someone forgot to buckle Christopher into his stroller....

Morning cuddles with Daddy. How jealous I was this morning. I was heading out to workout and they looked all comfy on the couch.

Christopher has discovered the sleigh that Big Daddy gave us a couple years ago. He loves it.

And he also loves his big toe. Maybe he will learn to bite those toenails off because he certainly won't let me cut them.

Love right? It can be a chair...

or it can be used to practice for his iditarod training.

I read an article about "not disciplining the boy out of the boy." Let's just all agree that I read too many articles. But it was very true. So when he got in the sleigh and pretended to be Jake from the Disney show, instead of freaking out and telling him to get down, I took a picture and closed my eyes :)

Christopher spent the whole day Sunday in his pajamas. In fact, we all did. What a rainy nasty day.

When we were staying at Oglebay, they had Santa on the premises one night. Christopher was yelling "hi" and "Santa" as we were walking up, but didn't want him to hold him at all. I think this will count as our Santa picture. I just still can't bring myself to go stand in lines....at the mall... during Christmas. Yuck.

Facebook and Instagrammers have already seen this... but oh my goodness- isn't that the cutest.

Well, wait. No. This one is the cutest. I am so glad he likes his "hot dog" ears now. He wouldn't wear them while we were there trying them on, but I couldn't take him to Disney for his first visit and NOT get him ears.

Oh wait. This is the cutest picture. I will leave you with that one. This was tonight as we were reading his book of the night. He is getting quite good at opening his presents. He will be a pro come Christmas morning!

And on to some videos...
