Nana's Notes

This is Christopher's Nana as the guest blogger for today. We have had a wonderful 4 days spending time with Christopher, Matt, Angie, Anthony and Kate!!!! There is nothing better than spending time with family. Although we didn't plan anything special, every minute was special to us. I can't believe how big Christopher has gotten and how much he has changed in a month. He is such a happy baby due to the love that his parents constantly give to him.

Christopher loves to hear himself "talk"! His talk is more like a squeal, but sure makes us laugh. He is a very good eater! We tried some banana-apple puffs, but his mom is very concerned so we had to break them into little pieces so small they just stuck to his hand. It won't be long until he will be eating them whole! Angie tried giving him a contraption that looks like a pacifier made out of mesh material. We put a piece of banana inside it and Christopher loved sucking on the banana. He had it all over his mouth, but kept him entertained while the rest of us had breakfast.

This is Christopher playing with his workbench. He hasn't figured out that it is too big to put in his mouth. The hammer and saw do work nicely, though.

As you can tell from the pictures, we spent yesterday decorating for Christmas. Christopher loved seeing the tree all lit up when he was finished napping. Here he is being entertained by Cousin Kate and Uncle Anthony. Christopher loves playing with them both.
One of Matt's co-workers was nice enough to give them some toys that their son had outgrown. Christopher loves the Christmas train. It comes with a reindeer, Santa and an elf that can be removed. Christopher immediately went for the reindeer and literally ripped him off of the train. Matt and I laughed at how aggressive he was!
Here I am feeding Christopher his dinner. How yummy was the rice cereal mixed with veggies! He sure scarfed them down. He is looking for Rocco-making sure Rocco didn't get any.
We bought him two sippy cups with straws. Although the cups kept him happy as he chewed the straws, he prefers the "regular" sippy cups. As you can tell, Christopher has nothing to play with as we eat.
The next two pictures are of Christopher's bathroom. The "One fish, two fish" stickers are from his Aunt Nancy. She picked them up at Universal Studios at Orlando in August. After having the bathroom painted light blue, we put the stickers up today. It really looks good! Christopher let us know that he loved it by squealing delightfully when he entered. The shower curtain Angie ordered is on the way! They quit making the "One fish, two fish" one so instead she got the Cat in the Hat in a bathtub. It looked adorable! I can't wait to see it when she hangs it up.
I can't believe that our time here is over!! We will be back in a month, but that seems like a long time! By then we'll probably be telling about him crawling (right now he scoots backwards very well) and having two teeth.
It has been my great privilege to write this blog and I hope you have enjoyed it. Tune in for Matt's blog with a very funny clip of Christopher!!!

Christopher's First Thanksgiving- by Granddaddy

Welcome to "Christopher's First Thanksgiving." Angela gets to rest this weekend, so we're all taking turns as guest bloggers. Let me introduce myself, I am Angela's daddy and Christopher's granddaddy. Everybody seemed so concerned about what Christopher should call me, and there were a few ladies at school that were suggesting some names that I certainly didn't want to enter into the hereafter with any of them, so "granddaddy" came to mind. Therefore, I shall be Christopher's ganddaddy.

I would like to thank Angela and Matt for presenting Ginger and I with an adorable grandson. We're at Angela's and Matt's house for Thanksgiving along with Uncle Anthony and Cousin Kate. They've taken about a million pictures of Christopher but due to time and space, I've narrowed down the selection to the following:. (By the way, I could tell what Christopher was thinking in each picture).

These guys are gorging theirselves with turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, and a lot of green stuff that I've never seen before, and I'm supposed to chew on these plastic toys? Mom, where are my teeth?

Hmmm, mom gave me this with a banana in it this morning. It wasn't bad but I'd rather have some of the turkey that's in the refrigerator.

This is granddaddy. He's already told me a few things that I'm not allowed tell Nana. He's pretty cool. I can't wait to play ball with him.

I don't understand these people. They put me in all these different situations and silly clothes and then they laugh at me. How long will this last?

My toe is sore. I bit it last night. I won't do that again.

Chug-a-lug

There's the Irish. They must be soldiers with those gold helmets, I guess. They're on TV every Saturday. Granddaddy said they haven't lost since I've been on Earth. He said I am a lucky leprechaun. Whatever!
Granddaddy also told me that if they win two more games, he's going to give me a biiiig surprise.
Okay, granddaddy, you got it, GO IRISH!

Tomorrow our guest blogger will be Nana Ginger- we are a little off schedule!

Guest Blogger: Kate

Today the blog is being written by Kate (Angela's favorite cousin hehe). I arrived to Atlanta to stay with them for my Thanksgiving break on Tuesday evening. When I got there it was just about time for Christopher to be fed, so while he ate his dinner, I did too.

Here is a picture of Christopher eating dinner but looking away from the camera. He was being so shy for the first hour and looked as if he was in a daze.

However, his shyness soon went away and I finally got him to show his wonderful smile and play a little before bedtime!

I tried getting a picture of Christopher before bath time because he looked so freaking cute, but I was laughing too hard and couldn't get a good picture. Angela and I did bath time with Christopher all by ourselves, then put him to bed.

Today I had the pleasure of being woken up by Christopher! He is such a little ball of sunshine in the morning. I love it :) His face is so cute in this plus I like Angela hiding in the background.

Christopher and I spent a lot of time playing today. This is him posing for me.

You'll notice that Christopher looks like Stroonz in the next picture with how they are both laying. I think he was imitating him haha.

I love him :)

This is Angela dancing with Christopher to a turkey song. Christopher was having so much fun with the girls!

Christopher and I then decided to have a little photo shoot while his Mommy made dessert for tomorrow. As you can see he enjoyed it so much. He loves his cousin Kate :)

This was still while I watched Christopher. Angela was a busy bee getting everything ready for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow.

This was before a trip to the grocery store. He looks so stylish in his outfit. What a stud!

Matt finally came home from work and I watched as he & Angela had family play time with Christopher.

Angela and I attempted working out, then my cousin Anthony came over with Rocco! We all hung out in the kicthen with Christopher before it was time for him to go to bed. Anthony and Matt are very excited for Thanksgiving tomorrow!

I've already enjoyed my first full day staying here and I look forward to the rest of the week. I hope you all enjoyed my post!

My Last Post for Awhile!

I am going on strike. (Christopher and) I will not be blogging anymore UNTIL someone else writes a blog post! Mom always says she is going to, but she never does. Matt says "But I'm not a good writer!" Uncle Anthony had some smart remark. So.... since everyone will be here soon, they will all be REQUIRED to write one every day! Won't that be soooo much fun!! Yes, Kate and Granddaddy that includes you. In fact, we will go ahead and make a schedule so people have it to look forward to each day.

WEDNESDAY- Kate.
THURSDAY- Nana.
FRIDAY- Granddaddy.
SATURDAY- Uncle Anthony. (You will not want to miss this one I am sure.)
SUNDAY- Matt.

Perfect.

Remember this picture...
and this one...
Here's the latest....
I went to workout... and this is what I came in the house to see! They are on the floor looking up at the TV. Even "kitty" joined in. I say "kitty" because this is now what he is called. I kept saying kitty, kitty, kitty over and over and Christopher said "ki"- coincidence. Maybe. He certainly says "mum" pretty well now- But I always call myself "mommy" so I am not sure who he is referring to!

Isn't this so sweet? The girls were gabbing at the table and I look over and see this-
It was adorable.

Okay! Well that's it from me for a bit.... I hope everyone is as fantastic as I am at this!

Just a Few More Days...

The week is almost over... which means it is almost Thanksgiving Break!!! I am beyond excited for next week. Christopher and I have some fun things planned, plus he turns 7 months on Saturday.

ME?!?!? 7 months already?!? No way! These fools haven't even taught me how to walk yet!

Right now Christopher's bathroom is plain. Not kiddish at all. In fact, he doesn't even use it. We use our bathroom to bathe him... but that all changes soon! It is getting painted on Monday!!! We picked out a light blue color and are going with a One Fish, Two Fish theme! I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's finished and for him to start using it!

Tuesday we are heading to Dunwoody for a Thanksgiving feast at Apex! Matt always comes home raving about the food at these things so I am super stoked we get to go! The big debate right now is ... What is Christopher going to wear?!?!

KATE COMES TUESDAY NIGHT!!! She is spending Thanksgiving with us!

YAY!!! KATE IS COMING.

And who knows what Wednesday will bring but it is bound to be fun because KATE will be here!

Mom and Dad arrive on Thanksgiving. Gosh it will be so nice to have everyone together!! :)

Mom and I are working on a project that we found on Pinterest.  You get a basket and 24 Christmas books and wrap them and then you open one each night starting Dec 1st.  I love the thrill of surprise of not knowing what book we are opening to read.  I think right now we are at 18 books. Here are some that mom and I have bought.... along with a couple that are wrapped.

Do you have any favorite Christmas books that we should definitely get?

Jammies!!!

As you all know, I LOVE Christopher in pajamas. I am sure all of you moms understand because everyone I have talked to always says that they just loved their kids in the jammies! Needless to say Christopher's closet is stocked with them! So I decided this week, I would take a picture of him every morning in his pajamas. You can see how bright eyed he is in the morning. I think my favorite part of the pictures might be that you can see which side of his face he sleeps on because of the red spot on his face!! :)
Monday morning!

Tuesday morning- again mom?!?!

Wednesday morning- old faithful! (This is the last pair of these pajamas!)

Thursday morning- his newest pair of pajamas!

and Friday morning! These are his Bulldogs pajamas that he can finally fit in.

Saturday morning- This is the last pair of these ones too! (I am sure you all remember these- he had them in 3 months, 6 months and now 9 months. So sad!)

And... Sunday morning! He went to bed in his Notre Dame pajamas- he wears them every Saturday after a win- we went ahead and put him in them Saturday night as a good luck charm for the Irish!

Thanks for all the sweet comments about the last blog post! Christopher really loves getting on here and telling you about his week! :) I didn't think it was as good as his other blog post but yall sure did!

Here's a few random pics of the week!
Watching TV with Daddy!
Lunch at Fox Brothers with Daddy's friends from Tampa!

I FINALLY GOT IT!!!! THERE IS THE TOOTH!
The second one is soooo on its way. I feel like I can see it in there like I could with the other one right before it broke!

I hope this video works! And yes... that noise is what you think it is!

Have a great week! Five more days til Thanksgiving break!!!!!! WAHOOOO!!!

Super Saturday... by Christopher.

I slept in until 7 Saturday! I figured I owed mom and dad some extra sleeping time since I got them up a couple of nights this week. They would rub this cherry tasting stuff on my gums and I would go back to sleep but I could see they were really tired. I wasn't waking up because of my new tooth though- I was waking up because I was freezing! They finally put me in my fleece jammies Thursday night and I was good! Mom still won't put a blanket on me at night- what a worrier. So here I am- wide awake on Saturday morning!

Mom didn't work out Saturday morning because Eddie came over on Friday! I love seeing Eddie. He always wants to hold me and I like feeling his beard. Plus he makes mommy do all these exercises that make me laugh at her. :) We went shopping and to lunch at Taco Mac. See my football shirt? Mom and dad argued over whether I should wear Notre Dame or Georgia so they compromised with a plain football shirt (but I did notice there are yellow footballs which makes me think mom won the argument!)

I am so good at sitting up on my own now. Even with all those toys around I still picked out the baseball- destined to be a ballplayer. I played down here on the floor alot Saturday.  Mom and dad were busy doing laundry and cleaning when we got home and I was perfectly happy just sticking all of these things in my mouth!

WHAT?!?! Rocco is on his way over! Someone pick me up!!!! Seriously- Uncle Anthony really wants me to love Rocco and I am trying... but when he puts me right in front of that hopping thing... it takes me a moment!

Uncle Anthony posted this picture on Facebook- someone said that I look just like him! What do you think??? Mom and dad were looking through mom's baby pictures today and there were quite a few that looked like me!! But then I was sitting in my snug a bunny seat the other day and mom said I looked just like daddy's quadruple chin baby picture. That probably wasn't a compliment.

Dad and I spent some time horsing around on the couch. I was feeling really wiggly. Thankfully they kept a good hold on my and I didn't fall off the couch!

So..... as you know I (and my mom) NEVER vary from routine- BUT SHE LET ME STAY UP PAST MY BEDTIME AND I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO HAVE A BATH SATURDAY NIGHT! We stood in front of this TV for awhile. See those gold helmets? Granddaddy says I am their good luck charm. They are 9-0 since I was born. He also said mom should have more children so they keep winning. I disagree. Mom and dad yelled at the end of the game. So I cried back.

And here I am after church on Sunday. Please try to ignore Daddy's white thighs. Mom couldn't crop them out of this picture! :) hehe

Here are some fun pictures of me from daycare before our Halloween party! Enjoy-

me and Gia- she's Italian and a Yankees fan- what more could I ask for in my daycare buddy?!?!

They already bought my costume for next year... all I heard was it goes with the theme.... I wonder what I will be?!?!?
