The 25 Days of Christopher- Day 25

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

After Santa came last night, Christopher was jacked up. We put him to bed around 9 and it was at least 9:45 before he settled down and went to sleep. He ended up sleeping til 8 with the rest of us up and waiting for him. Before he went to sleep last night he said, "I am so happy. I am so happy Santa brought me a hockey goal." He woke up today asking if the reindeer ate the food.

Christopher's Christmas morning was filled with lots of Disney, hockey and trains. He was such a great gift opener- whenever you would give him something to open, "oh thank you" would come right out of his mouth.

Uncle Anthony and Sara went with a total hockey theme- full of books, coloring books, hockey figurines, a goalie set.

Christopher has been quite entertained with this!

Getting dressed to guard the net!

Of course, Santa brought Christopher his Big Jessie doll- which he has already brought down Woody and Buzz so she could be with her friends. Lots of Mickey toys were opened, including Firefighter Mickey that Santa brought. Unbeknownst to me... Matt planned a whole trip for us to DISNEY!! We are going in 3 weeks. (Special thanks to Caryn for helping Matt get me time off from work!)Christopher came in wheeling a Dusty (from Planes) suitcase and when we opened it, there were 3 Magic Bands to Disney!!

Christopher also got his big green car that he was asking Santa for.

One of his train toys- this is a bumper train. It goes around on the hardwoods and bumps into things and keeps on going.

He also got a Yankees chair from Nana and Granddaddy.
We are getting ready to go over to their house to open all of their presents to him.

We have a full day planned so I figured I should blog real quick while Matt is getting ready to go. We are heading to Sara and Anthony's for dinner and then back to our house to host dessert for Matt's family!

We hope that everyone had a blessed Christmas!!

(And I made it. 25 days of straight blogging. A hiatus is needed! I know one person that will be happy about that!)

Be kind.

The 25 Days of Christopher- Day24

One more day! Anytime someone told Christopher Merry Christmas today, he would respond by saying- "It is not Christmas. It is Christmas Eve."

Trying really hard to ensure he is on the nice list. Today I asked him what Santa was going to bring him and he said Big Jessie. I said "Do you really think he will? "You betcha, mommy!"

Christopher and his buddy Nico exchanged gifts today. They both got each other Legos.

Between Uncle Anthony and Brandon, Christopher got his all his Legos built!

Santa came to see us! He brought Christopher a Pittsburgh Penguins hockey goal and sticks.

Christopher was hiding under the ottoman for awhile, but he finally got out.

Using his new hockey set!

Throwing out his reindeer food that he made at Ms. Jeanne's!

The Cajun Night Before Christmas- by Big Daddy

And tonight's final book was a Peek-a-Boo Christmas book with his face again. This time he didn't throw it down and say SCARY MONSTER!!

And.... (a really long video)
santa claus came to town

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!!
Be kind.

The 25 Days of Christopher- Day 23

I am proud to say I had 2 good ideas today. Not determined by me of course.

Today we went to Catch Air, which neither me nor Christopher had ever been to. He asked where we were going and I told him Catch Air, where he could jump around and go down slides and play with a bunch of kids. "That's a good idea, Mommy."

This afternoon I needed to crush some pretzels for a cheese ball and I asked him to go get his hammer so he could crush the pretzels. "That's a good idea, Mommy. I'll be right back." 5 seconds later as he is climbing the stairs... "Merry Christmas, Mommy."

Catch Air pictures:

Christopher loved when they turned down the lights for the dance party!

Christopher is at the top going down headfirst. He is the one on the right.

I loved watching Christopher jump and pull himself up on these things.

Crushing pretzels:

Making cookies:
I discovered tonight that I am not a cookie making person. It takes way too long.
Thank goodness for Nana.

I didn't have my camera up with my tonight during bedtime, but our book tonight was Five Little Penguins.

Have a Merry Christmas Eve!
Be kind.

The 25 Days of Christopher- Day 22

Today was Christopher's Christmas party at daycare! He was so excited, especially when he walked by the big window and saw all the kids on the inside. "Look, it's a PARTY!!"

Heading to the back to make a reindeer hat with Aeris and Luke.

Aren't they so cute holding hands?

Getting ready to get his craft on.

The kids had a book exchange. Everyone brought a wrapped book and then they got to choose one out of the pile for themselves.

Christopher got Merry Christmas, Little One.

And of course Ms. Jeanne and Mark got the kids a bag of goodies!
Don't Christopher and Luke look so cute in their almost matching shirts!

Someone was pooped from all of the excitement of the day...

His book tonight was My Santa Claus.

Hope all of your shopping is done!!
Be kind!

The 25 Days of Christopher- Day 21

Today was nowhere near as exciting or eventful as yesterday! The only things we did today were go to church and go to dinner... the rest is a wash!
The Dunkin Donuts near our house just opened so of course we hit that up this morning for a special treat!
He got a donut that looked like a wreath.
He said "Uncle can love this donut." Random.

And this is how he cleaned the frosting off of his face.

Me and Christopher at dinner. If you look REALLY closely, you can see the jeans covering his hip. He fell asleep on the way there and slept the entire time at dinner. He woke up as we were leaving and had his pizza on the way home. I think it was the most relaxing dinner out with Christopher we have had in a long time!

And our book tonight....
Oh... it's an old book!

It was Matt's from 1988. On the inside of the book, it said "Merry Christmas, Matt. Love Little Bear" Matt had no clue who Little Bear was...  When we started reading we found out it is the main character. :) The book was called The Sweet Smell of Christmas. The scratch and sniff did not last 26 years.

Have a great night!
Be kind.

The 25 Days of Christopher- Day 20

I wasn't able to post last night, but for a good reason!

Guess who got engaged?!?!?!
We were so excited. We all like Sara so much and were just waiting for him to ask her!

We surprised Sara by being back at their house after Anthony's birthday dinner to celebrate their engagment. Sara's best friends and our family was there waiting for them to come home. Christopher was a great hider. He played around with his "little Buzz" and "Bumblebee." At the end of the night I was trying to get his toys all cleaned up and I couldn't find Bumblebee. I finally found him... standing guard next to baby Jesus in Sara's nativity.  We took Christopher's Mickey jammies and he was dressed and ready for bed before we left. I think for a second when I told him to get his jammies on he thought we were staying the night. By the time we got home it was after 10 and everyone was ready for bed! So here I am posting for yesterday!

We had a super busy day yesterday! Christopher's Citrus Lane box had arrrived Friday but no one noticed until after we put Christopher to bed. He got to start the day off by opening his box!

He got this Pizza Making Set that came with order forms! He was busy making pizzas for awhile.

It also came with this great Melissa and Doug transportation stamp kit. Christopher has never used stamps before (as far as I know) and he was loving it! We took this to Sara and Anthony's and it kept him busy while we were waiting for their arrival.

And then our day finally began.... errand running.

First, a trip to the bank...

and then a trip to Home Depot to see where Handy Manny works.

A short while later, we headed to downtown Acworth for our Saturday lunch at Miss L's.
Today there was a train going by as we got there and a train going by as we left.

But the highlight of the day was finally making it ice skating.

That is a man on a mission. He was so excited to get his skates on. We told him we were going on the way there and he said "I need my hockey stick!" He is going to flip out when he sees all the hockey stuff his uncle got him for Christmas.

Christopher walked right on out to the ice. Of course, he had absolutely no idea that it was different than just walking. But he did such a good job. Thankfully, Matt is a good skater and mom is as well. They were able to steer him around.

Normally it was the three of them holding on to one another, but Christopher's skate tripped up mom and she went down at one point. Matt left her to crawl to the side of the rink by herself. Great son-in-law.

There they are all together!

Posing for a picture!

Cammy went with us to help out with Christopher too.
She is also a good skater.
I tried to hold Christopher's hand while skating. It lasted all of like 10 seconds and then he wiggled his way out of my hand to ask for Nana's. Probably a smart move. I am NOT a good skater.

Mickey's Twice Upon a Christmas starts out with an ice skating scene of Minnie and Daisy in a competition with each other. Matt said Christopher kept wanting to "fall like Minnie" while he was out there. Matt let him go down once and then he started making snow angels on the ice. Christopher was very happy about that!

I am sure we will be going back again.
Sara told us last night she can skate, so we have another hand holder.

And this was on the way home from dropping off Nana and Granddaddy. C slept for 2 hours and I am pretty sure would have kept going but we had to wake him up to go surprise Sara.

You know Christopher couldn't go to their house without getting in the dog cage.

Goodbye hugs with Uncle!

We did not have a chance to open a book last night, so we let Christopher open his book this morning. It is only fitting that he opened the book that Sara's mom gave him last year.

And my two favorite daycare pics of the week....

Lighted candy canes.

Reading with Luke.
A Very Mater Christmas.

That's it!! Enjoy your Sunday.
Be kind.
