Time for Friends

Christopher spent some time this weekend playing with his friends, Austin and Nicholas. We had "Friendsgiving" Saturday night and the boys had a ball playing together. I love this picture of the boys sitting at their table waiting for their plates....
Be sure to notice the "big boy" at the kids table.
They had a blast playing together.. and somehow this is what the evening turned into. I swear they only drank milk.

Check out how cute they are playing though...
I think both of those videos explain why we don't have curtains in our house yet!

Christopher also got to re-meet Emerson this weekend....

Isn't she toooo cute! Loved her little ponytail on her head. You should have heard her say Christopher's name. It was adorable.... and she pretty much got it perfect!

Showing off her belly...

Cheesin... typical man can't put down his drink for a picture.

And just a few more videos that I found from the last couple of weeks... Enjoy!
totally black video If you say one.... sometimes Christopher will say two!

Okay... and I think we are all updated! I felt like my post last night was seriously lacking, but I crossed EVERYTHING off my to-do list today so I had a few extra minutes to post again! :)

Christopher's First 5K

I am so proud of my little guy. He participated in his first 5K this past weekend. I hope a) that it is his first of many and b) that he is a much better runner than mommy and daddy! Check out Christopher with his running buddy!
I was so grateful that Eddie agreed to walk/run with Christopher so that Matt and I could actually participate and NOT have to push the stroller. There were so many hills and I was not about to run that while pushing Christopher! I definitely wouldn't have beaten my previous time! Matt did beat me by a minute so I will have to work on that one! Eddie said that Christopher had a ball watching everyone and clapped for people as they went by! He even kicked his feet a lot, pretending to run.

I was so proud of Matt for agreeing to run!

Playing "give me that Frisbee" with Sara after the race!

In other big Christopher news.... he has now been converted to a big boy toddler bed! I cannot even tell you how much I was looking forward to Sunday. I had it all planned out.... Christopher was going to nap after lunch for his glorious 2 and a half hour nap and then Matt was going to take him to his sister's house for a bit. My plan.... Hallmark Christmas movies. I had my favorite one DVRed and ready to go. However, when I looked in the video monitor to check on him... Christopher wasn't there. He had climbed out of his crib. Being the crazy worrier that I am, we immediately dropped everything and headed to Babies R Us to get all the furniture mounts, completely redid his room and converted his bed. The good thing is that I took down what was on his walls when we moved furniture so now I need to decide what color to paint the room and what decor he is going to get. Obviously, something sporty. But anyway.... Christopher had to sleep in his new bed Sunday night. We put him down a few minutes early because we weren't sure how it was going to go. You should read the horror stories online. After 8 times of putting him back in his bed, he fell asleep. I used my SuperNanny techinques that I remember from her show- be firm, only talk during the first attempt, no snuggling... It took a total of 25 minutes, which was far less that I expected. Plus, there were no tears from anyone, which in my opinion, is a victory in itself. I apologized to Matt for my potential behavior before we even began the bedtime routine. Tonight, we put him down, read him a book and left the room. He got up once and headed to the door, but when I put him down again he stayed. He even stayed awake playing with Dino without getting out, so I would call it a success again tonight. Last night he didn't get out of bed until morning and hopefully, tonight is the same.

And now after all of my rambling, here are just a few pictures from the past two weeks!
Playing Peek a Boo.

The end result.

Waiting at the doctor's to get a flu shot. He screamed bloody murder the entire way home.

Swinging with Mar at daycare. I tried to swing him when I got there, but apparently I don't do it right.

Contained. Sometimes I want to contain him too! :)

Riding Rudolph!

One of our shots from our family pictures. Christopher was, like, the perfect model. He sat, smiled, looked at the camera, even posed almost in some pictures. I am so thankful for Stephanie and her husband - they kept him so engaged and knew when enough was enough.

Tomorrow it is going to be a nasty, miserable day here so maybe I will upload some more pictures and videoos.
Have a great night.

Disney.... Part 1

Mom and dad... and Uncle... picked me up from daycare on Thursday. Normally it's just mommy, not daddy very often and certainly not UNCLE! Wasn't quite sure why they were all there. I had just woken up from my nap and had planned on making "Mar" push me on the swing the rest of the afternoon. I let them know how disappointed I was that they were taking me away from that. I figured a good 10 minute cry would ensure that they never do that again.

They took me to an airport and you should have seen these huge things! I thought "airpanes" were small like birdies but they are massive! Daddy bought me Popeye's, which I had never had before and neither had mommy apparently because she kept eating my tenders, and I sat on his lap and we watched Despicable Me the whole way there. Toooooo fun! I started feeling kinda bad that I through that major fit about leaving daycare.

We got off the plane and "na-na" and "ga-da" were standing there! We got on another train thing and then on this bus to the coolest hotel! I still had no idea what we were doing but everyone seemed so excited and telling me I was going to see "hot dog" tomorrow! When we got to the hotel I got to see Kate and Rachel and Aunt Nancy and Aunt Barbara and Ken and Pappy. I ran and ran and ran to show my excitement... and mom let me stay up past 8 this night! (You know that never happens!) Mommy told me I had to smile extra big for Pappy because he was nice enough to treat all 24 of us to this amazing trip/family reunion. I would have smiled at him over and over and over if he had just let me ride the scooter with him, but a trip to Disney- BONUS! Here I am with Pappy riding around.

I am going to let y'all look at all the pictures from the trip and I will tell you all about it as we go on. You may see some duplicates of shots.... I couldn't decide which ones I look cuter in so I just thought I would share both.

Nana got me a "jae" coloring book! "I color" is one of my favorite phrases.... along with "all done."

YAY! I think this is after I saw "mee-mo" on the side of a building. I love that little fish. Granddaddy bought me my very own "mee-mo" to sleep with. I went on a ride that had him everywhere.

These things were so cool. I just kept running and jumping on them. Mommy looked like a nervouse wreck.

Here we go to Disney!

We went on the Animal Safari first thing in the morning. God I could not wait to see the elephants. It is my new favorite word.

I look so cute. Very intense thinking don't you think?

Mommy always tells people how serious I am. That's not a bad thing. Those babies who smile at everything aren't as "deep" as I am.

Family photo! They took me in to see "It's Tough to be a Bug"- scariest thing ever.

See. Same shot. Just as cute.

Okay- so our hotel had this really flashy, bright place with tons of games! Totally fun!

Racing with daddy!

Mommy kept saying "hold daddy's ears" so I did.

Day 2- Heading to Magic Kingdom bright and early!

This was one of my favorite spots to be! Daddy carried me alot like this!

Teacups!! :) I got to ride these things a couple of times. I also got to drive cars in Tomorrowland. So fun! Being tall has it perks. I made the height requirement by 1 inch!

Spinning with daddy...

And then spinning with Nana and Granddaddy!

We rode It's a Small World next! Super cool.... kinda creepy music, but lots of fund stuff to look at!

So I got on this horse on the carousel... and then I realized I didn't want to ride this horse alone. I did let mommy snap a few shots before I freaked out though. I rode this ride with mommy instead!

Mommy and daddy took me back to the hotel each day for my nap. I was so thankful. I need that nap if I am going to be my normal happy self!

We had a character dinner with all the animals from Winnie the Pooh! I got to see Pooh alot while we were at Disney... I also got to see Mickey, Minnie (oh my god do I love her- I kept kissing her), Pluto, Goofy, Tigger- amazing. Unfortunately, those pictures are floating around in cyberspace.  AKA mommy doesn't know how to access them. :)

Okay, so those are all the pics from Mommy's phone. Daddy has tons more and lots of videos, but that will come in another update!  Maybe Daddy will write that one.

Here are some videos of me!
Good morning! "Cock-o" was here waiting for me when I woke up Thursday morning. Best doggie ever.
Poop Face I don't think I need to explain that one. Mommy said I have to put it on here. I will certainly make her regret that later!
Elephant! Our Animal Safari
teacups Spinning around and around!

Hope you enjoyed my update! I had lots and lots of fun and am so grateful I got to go to Disney. Don't you think mommy and daddy should take me again next year?!?!

Pictures of the Weekend

Just thought I would share a few pics from our weekend! I know I am going to be crazy busy trying to cram in workouts and schoolwork since we are heading out of town on Thursday. The next time I update will be about our trip to Disney! Any advice for taking an 18 month old to Disney? Be realistic about what to take- we are flying.

Christopher loves Saturday morning workouts!

We went to see Cammy play softball Saturday...

and we happened to run into a horse! Christopher had no fear when it came to the horse!

He sat so nicely coloring with Nicholas that evening. His picture needed some work but I was just surprised by how nicely he sat there and colored.

And then came the sword fighting... and later on came Christopher's first goose egg on his head. Today it's a nice bruise. :)

There were some kids singing on TV. I don't think Christopher liked it. But he certainly liked what they were singing for- the NYC marathon. He had so much fun watching the first wave of men get started. He clapped and yelled GO for them!

Night- night. Feeling the effects of the time change.

Here is the picture I made of Christopher at the Halloween party. A lot changes in a year huh?!?!

Some videos...

And that's it! Have a great week!! :)
