Christmas Fun

What a fun Christmas we had! Christopher went through the multiple catalogs that came in the mail for both him and Caleb so Santa and mommy and daddy had it pretty easy. Christopher bought presents for everyone this year as well. Matt took him shopping one day and he loaded up with things he wanted to give. It was fun to watch his excitement as they all opened their gifts from him. I got a fancy pen and gummy Life Savers. He has asked me many times if I will take it to work and show my kids. Christopher and Caleb got some matching clothes- which I knew would make Christopher's morning. He asked for Lincoln Logs too... I guess he plays with them at school and really likes building with them. Needless to say, we need to do some toy cleaning out.

Matt's dad and his wife Sara left yesterday and our next round of company comes tomorrow! Today was our day to get out and do something together so Christopher and I enjoyed lunch with my parents, some driving range fun and then we went to see Moana with some of his friends from school. I love watching him talk and play with his buddies. It was a cute movie- he also went to see Sing yesterday with his Aunt Cindy, which he seemed to like as well.

Christmas was so much fun that I didn't take any pictures. I have some randoms that Mimi Sara took, but that's about it!

After presents were opened. Uncle Anthony got Christopher these baseball guys and the kitchen table quickly became a ball field.

Caleb got a police car from Santa.

Christopher's cookies he decorated - the top one was Santa but Christopher ate off the part of the hat before setting the cookies out... the white one is a baseball so Santa would know how much he loves baseball... and the other was a "person bell" just for Santa.

Our reindeer food.

Christopher as a sheep in the Christmas pageant.
He yawned the whole time.

Bathtime is always more fun at Nana's!

Miss Avery and Kate came to visit. Christopher loved playing with her.

Caleb just bopped around. Avery wasn't so sure of Caleb. He was an easy target.

We tried.

I took one day off before Christmas to take Christopher to school and to see him in his school performance. He told me I did car line all wrong. I told him I wasn't ever bringing him to school again.

Caleb likes to box too.

He is just too cute in his beanie!!

Avery had socks hands.

Kate and the boys.

Christopher took donuts and coffee for the teachers at preschool. He got to join them for their morning prayer together as well.

Popsicles with Avery! It's always a popsicle day at Nana's house.

I just love this picture.

He is such a serious ball player.

We have built so many Lego sets!!! That's what Christmas break is all about though.

Caleb is addicted to the Worcestershire Chex mix.... it's all he wants. He wasn't eating his waffles and was so whiny... and then I brought out the tin.

Air hockey at Nana's!

I need to get some pictures from Matt's phone. I feel like I never have my phone with me and never remember to take pictures when I do.
I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!! :)

Weekend Fun

I forgot how much I enjoy writing these blog posts... so here's another!

We had a fun Christmas filled weekend. Matt and I ran a Sleighbells 5K Saturday and then went shopping for Caleb. Christopher is a cinch because he knows exactly what he wants, but Caleb is hard. Christopher had everything so therefore Caleb does now. We went shopping and got him some new shoes and more clothes and maybe a toy or two. Christopher wasn't supposed to get anything but he is the most difficult clothes person in the world ("it's too big... it's too tight... it's not blue...) and "hates that big puffy jacket"- he is going to be that child that I would look at and think "You can't think that sweatshirt is a jacket." We had to find him just the right sweatshirt that we thought for sure he would like and thankfully he did.

We finally checked some stuff off of our December list of activities this weekend as well- we had a sleepover under the Christmas tree (well Daddy and Christopher and Loki did) and then we made treats for our neighbors. This week we are going to try to bust out a couple more.

Christopher is in a little play before Christmas Eve mass so he had that rehearsal today. He is a sheep. I had such higher hopes for him, but sheep he is. :)

Enjoy the pics!
Granddaddy went out of town this week so Christopher stayed with Nana one night. He looks sad but he is just playing. That was his rain hat.. he even wore it into school the next day.

The boys were ready to play baseball...in the house.

Caleb had his 15 month checkup! He is soooo little, but oh so cute. Christopher went too. He was so sweet the whole time Caleb was getting his check up, held his hand and whispered in his ear. However he cried harder than Caleb did when it was shot time.

Caleb likes to work out too. And Loki likes to lick Caleb. Workouts in the basement are a lot different with 2 kids and a dog down there...

Friday night baseball. Granddaddy taught Caleb how to hold the bat. He's quite good and now walks around with that bat in his hand. He puts ANYTHING on the tee. My favorite was his cup... and WHACK.

Before our run! Matt gets me. My idea of a fun date!

Our neighbor, Nico, came over to hang out for a bit. Caleb kept doing something and the boys kept laughing at him, egging him on. It was too cute.

When your child asks for chocolate chip sprinkle pancakes and hot chocolate RIGHT before you need to leave for work... how could I resist?

I love him. <3

Have a great week!!!
Be kind.

Hello World!

My goal for Thanksgiving was to update...FAIL. After a few requests though I thought maybe I could squeeze in a blog. Matt was worried his aunt checks the blog every day and is probably tired of being disappointed. She isn't on Facebook.... so for those of you who don't see my parents million posts of the boys- here we go!

You all missed a whole season of Fall baseball for Christopher and the start of preschool. Matt and I coached Christopher and we ended up being third out of 12 teams. Christopher was the youngest on the team- this was the season that you move up to next league, so he played with a bunch of 4, 5, and 6 year olds. I think he held his own pretty well. He also recently discovered his love of playing hockey and also wants to be a professional golfer (You may have missed golf camp from the summer too! Sorry!) To say he got the natural athletic ability gene is an understatement.

He LOVES preschool. His teachers had the nicest things to say about him on his progress report.... "shows respect... tackles classwork in an organized manner.... conscientious hard working student who works independently..." You know as a teacher how those comments rank! :)

Caleb is the sweetest thing ever. He walks/runs all over the place. He lays his down on your leg to love on you when he walks by and cuddles at night. He does suck his thumb when he gets little "Dine" (green dinosaur) at night, but it is somehow super cute. Thankfully he only sucks when going sleep. If he was allowed to have Dine around all day, he would probably suck all day. Caleb is a little sicklier than Christopher was.... having his share of ear infections. He had one that just wouldn't go away. He also caught hand, foot and mouth at the beginning of fall break and shared it with the rest of us. Caleb is starting to retaliate on Christopher which is kinda fun to watch. He isn't afraid to let Christopher know he is mad at him. :)

And on to the pics!
Hanging at Nana's pool. He is a swimmer!

Watching hockey!

Fall baseball team- the Thunder!

Spoiled boy went to Notre Dame with Nana and Granddaddy

Christopher loves him some Mellow Mushroom.

At Fall baseball tryouts.

Decked out ready to play football.

Biscuit, the class pet, came home with Christopher.

He went to church of course!

Headlock.

Did you know we got a dog?

Christopher loves to help cook.

Fireman-cowboys. Christopher loves to make them match in their jammies.

Heading to the driving range.

Christopher dressed up as St. Christopher for All Saints Day.

Ready for a nap.

Caleb didn't feel good this day- obviously.

Matt says for Christmas Caleb is just getting gift cards to restaurants.
He loves to eat.

More eating. He is so tiny though!

Pilgrim Trot. Christopher ran the 2K with Matt first and then did this!

Making his Notre Dame Christmas list.

Christopher was asked to do winter workouts with the 6U all star team.

I was so proud of him!! Plus I think he is going to learn lots!

Made it in Around Acworth with Nana....

And again for being at the Veterans Day celebration.

Caleb calls balls "go" because he thinks every ball is a golf ball.

Christopher did awesome. Those lessons are paying off!

He has a love again for Toy Story.

Singing at the tree lighting in Kennesaw.

This was supposed to be a "everyone is in Notre Dame gear" picture....

At Try Hockey for Free- he loved it!

All geared up. He was so cute out there. He ice skated once when he was 2... in an hour he learned how to stand up when he fell and could make forward movement. He also learned how to shoot with his stick! Of course now he wants to play.

Family hike over Thanksgiving Break.

Making stuffing!

I guess we do go a lot! Matt works from home now, so he took his lunch break and met us there!
So fun!

Caleb woke up and Christopher yelled - I'll get him!

Legoland with Luuuuuuuuuuke! I think they enjoyed running around the backyard when we got home more! I love watching them play together.

All ready for church.

After the race!

Okay and that is it! I hope you enjoyed it! Hopefully it won't be so long in between posts!!
and remember... Be kind.
Merry Christmas!!!
