Halloween 2013

Happy Halloween! If you were a blog reader last year at Halloween you may remember me saying that I had already bought his costume for this year and that it went with the "theme." Christopher was a lobster last year.... and this year he was a hammerhead shark! Definitely did not think he was going to let us put the head on but he did! Christopher trick or treated for about an hour this evening. I am surprised we got that out of him. I wasn't too sure how it was going to go at all! I feel like he got the concept of taking his bucket up and getting the candy... thanks to his buddy Nicholas! He kinda followed his lead at the first few houses and then realized what was going on. He had so much fun! We worked all week on "happy" and "Halloween" and Christopher could say both. He would never put them together though. And unfortunately he didn't say either one when we got to the houses. He did, however, throw out a "trick or treat" (in his own way) when I put him in the bath afterwards.

Before trick or treating, Christopher had his Halloween party at daycare! He was a Cookie Monster for that party. Since I didn't think he would get into the shark costume, I had to have a backup! At the party we got to make little foam pumpkins with pictures on them.... of course I forgot mine there so I don't have a picture of it to show! It was fun seeing all the kids there in their little costumes!

18 months!

Christopher is just learning so much! Every week I am amazed at his vocabulary and how much he is growing! We went to his 18 month checkup last Friday and he is 33 inches tall and weighs 25 lbs and 10 oz. The doctor was very happy with his progress and all the talking he did when we were there. I think the best part was when Christopher was sitting in my lap and the doctor showed him his stethoscope and Christopher did his O (surprised) face and said "oh no!" Thankfully he did let the doctor check him out.

Fall is in the Air!

The weather has cooled down (a bit) and there are "pumkees" everywhere! We took Christopher to the pumpkin patch this weekend. Last year we did a patch at a church- nothing fancy, but with Christopher being older this year, we decided to make the trek to Ellijay for Burt's Pumpkin Patch.  The great plan we came up with was to leave early, spend an hour or so at the patch, let the boys sleep on the way home, and then hit up the Taste of Acworth- and wouldn't you know the boys actually stuck to the plan! "The best laid plans often go awry...." BUT THEY DID NOT FOR ONCE! We enjoyed watching Christopher and Austin running around the pumpkins! They also had a hayride that they boys just loved! I am so glad we decided to go out there! I think most of the pictures are from the pumpkin patch (not Taste of Acworth) that I have for this post! Christopher was kind of a "dud" at Taste. He just sat in his stroller.. wouldn't high five, or say hi to anyone. BUT I guess that's better than him whining or crying.

Christopher now gets timeout at daycare- I went Friday to get him and he was on the red bench for shoving kids out of the way to be the first outside. Second is the first loser. Matt and I have picked our timeout spot for home too. Friday was a rough day because he had to use it here too when we got home!

I will call it the I poo poo video... This is when Christopher first started saying it. But today I looked in the video monitor at Christopher and I was like "Where are his pants?!?!" so I went upstairs to put his pants on him and he says "I poo poo" - thank goodness it was just his pants off and not his diaper too!
