Happy Snow!

Oh my goodness! What a complete whirlwind yesterday was. I went to work thinking I would pick Christopher up early and we would hit the grocery story and watch the snow. Instead, Christopher stayed at daycare later than normal and by the time we made it near Publix, I had already decided to rely on my neighbors for any food we would need (especially if the power was out). Thankfully the power is on and we have plenty of chicken nuggets... but only one apple. Yikes! I am going to have to ration that out to the apple-monster.  We made it home and I layered Christopher up and we went to play in the snow.
Snow!

This is definitely Christopher... just didn't get a good face shot!

Mr. Matt took Christopher on a sled ride since daddy wasn't home!

Staying warm inside... waiting on Daddy to finally be home.

Look Ma! I got a dog-doo. Yes, that is how we say doggie.

Mr. Richard and his little munchkins

Let's go back in time a little bit because I REALLY wished I had posted last week, but I just had no time.  I think this post would have truly shown my "voice" if I had done it in real time...
After I dropped Christopher off at daycare last Tuesday Matt got a text asking about Christopher's limp. What limp? Christopher doesn't limp. When Matt emailed me asking about it, my first thought was OH. MY. GOD. HE HAS AN INGROWN TOENAIL. I am a terrible mom because I can't cut his nails. Everyone talks about the choke hold to pin their children down and I just can't do it...Christopher  HATES when I try to cut those things. I normally can get like one done before he is completely over it. I finally went to pick him up and Mark and Ms. Jeanne helped me clip those bad boys and we were on our way. Except, when I got home... I was thinking there wouldn't be a limp and there still was. So. I googled. BAD MOVE... especially on a night when Matt wasn't supposed to be home til 9. I had pretty much diagnosed Christopher with everything under the sun- with my main focus on all the worst outcomes. He couldn't even run to Matt when he got home (which was earlier than 9). I spent the next day worried out of my mind and we made an appointment for him at the doctor for that afternoon. When I picked him up to take him, Ms. Jeanne showed me a video of him running around like a crazy maniac (typical Christopher) but we took him anyway because there was still a slight limp. The doctor couldn't find anything wrong with him and referred us to get an x-ray. We decided to hold out and see if it got better and if it wasn't gone by Friday, then we would take him. But Friday came and the limp was gone, and my dreams of an athlete were still in tact.

Apparently someone didn't want to hug back. I think it was 5:30 and he was ready to leave the doctor's! Or he was just watching what was on TV up there.

And now for the random pics and videos!
Lunch at Miss L's

Christopher put himself in timeout. One day this week I was telling my mom and dad that he got put in timeout at daycare for taking cars from kids and he put his head down and walked over to the corner and sat there. It was so sad. I kept telling him he could get up, but he waited a little bit to move!

Heading to the doctor! I love his face in this picture. Well, maybe I love his little bits of hair coming out of the hat.

He was so angry when I got there to pick him up this day. He had to be woken up to go home and he wanted to get some playtime in after his nap so we sat and he played cars at the table for 10 minutes and then was ready to go!

Out to dinner. We never eat out anymore, but Christopher took a great nap this day and was in an awesome mood so we went. He got to sit in a booster seat and was completely chill. In fact, he kept looking at Matt and then trying to hug him and putting his head on his shoulder. I think he was so proud to be a big boy.

Going the wrong way on the slide...

We went for a run and stopped to play for a little bit on the way home.

Always a choo choo on the way home it seems!

We brought down the car mat and cars to play! Toy rotation.

Not sure.... Matt sent this to me while I was out.

And this one is for Ms. Jeanne. I would just like to say I was not home when this occurred so if Christopher thinks your train table is a bed, that's not my fault.

This is from MLK Day. Gorgeous weather...

Daycare Pics

Just stopping by real quick to share some daycare pics with y'all! Ms. Jeanne gets some of the best pics of Christopher.

Lunchtime... I wonder what he is eating? I am sure something yummy!

Calling someone... or maybe two people.

Oh just trying to convince Christopher that it's time to go home...

I got him to leave! I may have had to carry him out awkwardly, but I don't think he was screaming quite yet.

Christopher was inside of this house. You trying getting a child out of here. Actually at this point Christopher was sitting in there laughing trying to pull me in. It could have gotten ugly though. I think after getting him out of here, he realized we had to go home, which had a goo bit of crying and screaming with it. This was from the first week back after break. I think Christopher  thought he wasn't going to get to come back for awhile. It took him a few days to realize we were back in routine and yes, he was going to get to see Jeana and Mar again the next day.

Early morning drop off buddies!

Giggling about something....

Long morning of playing! One of my friends had posted on Facebook that he looks bored and wondering when mommy was coming to get him.... far from that. That right there is a boy who plays his little heart out and needs a break!

Hope everyone is enjoying their day off! We are hoping to get in lots of outside time today after naps!

Weekly Round-up

Is it the weekend yet? At least tomorrow is Friday. I am ready to have another one like last weekend. Sunday was an absolutely gorgeous day here in GA so we spent the afternoon at the park! Matt and I spent the first part running and Christopher had blast looking at all the dogs, airplanes and crazy skateboarding kids! Then we played at the park. I was glad that other parents were all up on the equipment with their kids because I wasn't sure how overprotective I would look crawling around on that thing. I think Christopher has really missed being outside and running around.

 Pretending to zoom.

It was fun to go on the different slides with Christopher! He yelled "side" and "weeeeee" the whole time we were on the equipment.

He yelled "choo choo" a lot too!

I had to go to the dentist Monday after work and little man had to go with me. I was so nervous that it wasn't going to go well, but the ladies promised to play with him and I brought in all of the toys from the car and Christopher was a complete angel. He sat on my lap the whole time....and genuinely seemed very concerned for me. He kept saying "mommy? mommy?" like something was wrong with me.  Then when we got home, he kept making this face. This is the "let me look inside your mouth" face.

Mommy hates it... but Christopher surely loves it when there is a train going by on the way home... this is mid "choo choo."

Giving the cat treats!

Christopher was so upset... poor guy hurt his "finga."

Practicing his swing with daddy.

And that's it. I need to plan something exciting for the weekend. Happy almost Friday!

Not Much is New...

Not much is new around here. Christopher is back at daycare and super pleased to be back. Here are some pictures from the week!

Cooking up dinner one day! Christopher loves to pretend. Here is a video of him pretending to eat. I love his sound effects the most.

Uncle Anthony got him this shirt so I took a picture of him to send it to him. It looks like something Anthony would wear.

Whatever makes you happy Christopher. Can't imagine this positiion being comfortable but as long as Nemo is on... amything works.

Movie night Friday night! Yes. Nemo again.

Christopher carries stuffed animals EVERYWHERE. He sleeps with like 3 every night and then has to carry all of them around the next morning. Sam made it into the car somehow.

Helping daddy charge Lightning McQueen.

Hanging out with Uncle Anthony and Sara while mommy and daddy were out to dinner!

A few more videos...
deciding if he should read the book or not...
interrupted by Fia. We were telling Christopher to get us different colored blocks... and then Fia came on.
drum solo I came in from working out the other night and this is what I saw. The boys always jam out to super loud music when I am not around.

The end. Have a great week!

Last Few Days of Vacation

I am so sad that I didn't take any pictures of Thursday! We invited Christopher's buddy, Elliot, over to play and somehow I didn't whip out my phone once. Probably because I was too busy engaging in adult conversation! :) Christopher and Elliot had a great time playing together... well, parallel playing! (Sometimes I do think Christopher tries to play for real when he calls his friends' names to run around the corner with him.)The boys wrecked complete havoc and had every train table piece, play food item, block, ball, and veggie stick all over the living room.  Later on the in the day I would run over to Christopher because he would be eating something... and I hadn't given him anything... oh just another random veggie stick. LOL.

Kate came to town Friday. We didn't think we would get to see her but we did! Christopher loved her this time. Not that he normally doesn't love her... it just didn't take him very long to warm up and he was all about hugging her and saying her name.

Saturday was a super cold BORING day so around 4 we randomly decided to take Christopher out to Gwinnett to watch the Gladiators! It was Christopher's first hockey game- in fact, somehow I think it was his first real sporting event.

Enjoy the pictures and videos!

Talk about some crazy hair.

Loving on Kate in the ball pit. He literally would not stop hugging her in there!

We were trying to get the alligator in the bottom hole... this was the best we could get!

Told Christopher he needed to get his hat on so we could go and he went and got his cowboy hat. You will see in one of the videos below that he likes to wear this hat.

Waiting for the 2nd period to start. Elderly Elvis was riding his wheelchair on the ice singing Elvis songs.... no Zamboni either.

Christopher's hockey shirt just happened to be the Gladiators colors! There were men wearing sweaters (jerseys) that looked almost just like his shirt.

Picture collage! Christopher loves his foam finger. When we got home, Christopher woke up and saw his finger and yelled HOCKEY! He really liked the game- so glad we finally took him. I wish it was closer.

Christopher has this new thing he has been doing at dinner. He says your name and then night night.. and you have to go night night until he says your name again. Thankfully he mainly makes Matt do it!

Watching FIA

Dance moves and singing with his cowboy hat on.

2013

And that's it for now! Back to work and daycare fulltime tomorrow! Well, that's if we don't get lots of snow tonight...hmmm.
