Trains and Mickeys

Now I remember why for the past few weeks we have not been enforcing naps on the weekend.... Up at 5:30 ready to go. So two hours later, I have finished our Christmas cards, last bit of Christmas shopping, wrapped up Scentsy orders, organized my school bag for the week and am on my third cup of coffee.

This past week Granddaddy set up his train for Christopher. Christopher was so excited. This was the look on his face when we got there the first day...

He spends a lot of time on the floor with the train, putting his horses and men on the train for a ride...

Christopher has also been on a major Mickey Mouse kick. It is all he wants to do lately- "I watch Mickey Mouse. Where's my Mickey? Where's my Goofy?" But I will say he is learning lots from it.. The other day he was pretending with mom and he got inside of Stroonz's crinkle tunnel and said he was in a spaceship and was going to Mars. Then, he put Goofy in the basketball net, came over to get Nana and said "Emergency, Nana! Goofy is stuck!" I'm pretty sure no one around here has used the word emergency lately.... :) Whenever I say I need something, he says "We need mouse-ke-tools."  Christopher went to the mall on Thursday to ride the train and go to the Disney store....

Carrying around lots of Goofys.

We also went for his 30 month checkup this week- a little late, but finally done nonetheless. Christopher was so excited to go meet Doc McStuffins. LOL. When she walked in, he said "nice to meet you" and stuck his hand out. Now I will say I prepped him a little by saying - what do you do when you meet someone new... And when she walked in he was ready to go! He was quite talkative, told her all about going to the potty and counting and the ABCs. But unfortunately for her, she is now the bad guy because Christopher did get his flu shot and when you ask him about going to the doctor, he says "The doctor hurt me."

Here are some random pictures from the past few weeks!

Wearing his football helmet. Granddaddy got that for him when they were at the Florida State game. Christopher was saving his money to buy a helmet, but now that he has this, he is saving for a bouncy ball. :)

Waiting for Mr. Eddie to come so he can show off his Superman jammies.

Teaching daddy how to find matches.

Just a nice swift kick to the face. Christopher was showing off his somersault skills and Uncle Anthony had to give it a whirl- but he didn't go straight. And it just happened to be the morning of our family pictures.

Thankfully the pictures turned out okay.

Christopher likes to pretend he is a baby.

Cheesing in his Uncle Anthony look alike shirt!

A snazzy new haircut.
Short and sweet.

5 more days of work and then off for 9 days... ahhhhh. Sounds so nice!
Happy Sunday. We are off to church and then to see a train show!
Be kind.

Halloween 2014

We had the best time trick or treating this year! Christopher loved every second of it. I, of course, was scared he was going to pee himself the whole time, but he didn't! :) He said "Trick or Treat" and "thank you" and only tried to go in houses of people that had dogs. There were a few people that gave him extra candy because he was in a Yankees outfit... and a few that said "if he wasn't so cute, I wouldn't give a Yankees player candy." He also got a compliment for being polite at one house. He has been saying thank you up the wazoo lately. The other morning he put his hand up in front of Matt and asked him to kiss it. Afterwards, he said "thank you daddy." So random, but I think Matt may have teared a little.
Christopher got lots and lots of candy, but I would say that the lollipops are his favorite. He has had about 4 since Halloween and the rest of the candy is up in a bowl in the cabinet and is taken out in times of bribery. Mommy and Daddy are enjoying the chocolate. :)
Ms. Jeanne had a Halloween party before we went trick or treating. It was lots of fun. They even had a special performance!
Enjoy the pics!

Luke and Christopher patiently waiting for their friends to come and sing...

and we got more friends...

Everyone is there! 5 little pumpkins sitting on a gate...
Christopher has been singing this song non-stop, but I thought it was because mom always sings it with him- I had no clue it was the performance of the Halloween party!!! I was so proud of him for going up there and staying, smiling and participating! He looked so old up there.

Showing Granddaddy his baseball costume.

Just munching on some sunflower seeds... well, Smarties, but he totally looks like a ballplayer here.

Christopher's trick or treating buddies!

Riding in the truck with Ms. Tipanee. LOL. Our street had like 4 lights on so we hit up another street in the neighborhood- Tons of lights and lots of kids.

That finger is pointing right at Granddaddy telling him no about something...

Cookie decorating at Ms. Jeanne's!

Christopher just realized that Ms. Jeanne put up pumpkins with the kids faces on them! I am pretty sure he just found his.

Waiting for the party to start!

Just got dressed. He was so proud of him being a "baseball player." I wasn't sure how the pants were going to go because when mom was fixing them (they were orginially a kids XS and she made them into a 2T- talk about work!) he kept trying to pull them down to his shoes, but I wanted the "old time" baseball look for him.... and he wore it well!

Because everyone does patterns in the morning for breakfast... LOL. Thanks to whomever left this in the color printer at work.

Face painting day at Ms. Jeanne's!

I hope that everyone had a great Halloween!
Be kind.
