Super Saturday

What a fun day we had yesterday! Matt booked us tickets to ride the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. You take a train from Blue Ridge to McKaysville (which is part in Georgia and part in Tennessee), stay there for 2 hours and then ride the train back.  It is 26 miles round trip and you follow the Toccoa River. It was so fun (and made me a little jealous) to watch all the people tubing and kayaking along the river. What little kid wouldn't love riding the train? This was Christopher's face when we got there.
Doesn't that just scream excitement?

And this one I imagine he was thinking how great his parents are.

These were some of my favorite shots I took of the trip. Matt got a great family pic but he is mowing the lawn right now and I am sure he would be annoyed if I asked him to send it to me! :) I will add that to the next update!

Dining at the restaurant we chose. Dining options weren't that great. Just a lot of little places, but our food was good. Christopher loved sucking the ketchup off his fries and grabbing the lady's chair behind him so I am calling it a successful lunch. There was one group of people that were loud and annoying on the train and of all the places they had to choose, they chose this place as well. There's just something about a 60 year old woman in a halter top that makes me cringe.....

Matt decided to leave Christopher in Georgia while he went to Tennessee!

Christopher was awake and lively for the first 15 minutes of the ride back and then spent the rest of the time like this. We were towards the front of the train on the ride back which meant that the whistle was really loud. He loved it for the first 15 minutes but once he got tired everytime it would go off he would squeeze Matt's neck...

like so. Didn't cry or anything... Just needed some loving.

I would say Matt did a great job picking out this trip. Everything went right as he planned it. Christopher slept the whole way there, was awake and had a blast the whole time, and then slept the car ride back home. We ended the evening over across the street with some hotdogs and hamburgers. Christopher had a great time playing with his buddy Nicholas! Even though Nicholas is a few years older than Christopher, he is so sweet to Christopher.
He did have a shirt on at one point. :)

And a random pic from the week....

Helping mommy with laundry Friday after work... if that's what you want to call it. Christopher is actually a great laundry helper. I hand him each piece of clothing and he throws it in the dryer. It takes a lot longer, but he laughs the whole time so I guess it's worth it!

And my favorite workout picture from the week!
Isn't that the best shirt ever!?!?! Anthony bought it for me as an early birthday present!

And some random videos...

First time through the car wash  This is a long one, so I would only watch the first minute. That's when he does the best faces.
Dancing to the keyboard This is one from when mom was here.
Anthony's #1 fan  A little guitar playing
Kate being a little baby I'm sorry Kate. I had to. LOL. Not a Christopher video but I wanted to be sure I never lost this video so putting it on the blog ensures that! :)
Showing off his backwards moves
Just a typical Saturday morning

And that's it! Hope everyone has a Happy Sunday! One full work week and then a 3 day weekend!! WOOT WOOT!

Walk, Don't Run

This week has been the week of boo-boos. I started out the week leaving work early to get Stroonz to the vet. He had scratched himself and I was freaking it out that it was worse than it really was. Then I had to take poor little Kate to the Urgent Care because she fell during a workout. When I picked Christopher up from daycare the next day, he looked like he had cherry popsicle on his face.... Nope. He fell while playing outside. I thought we could make it through Wednesday without any trouble... until I went to get him again and there were more cuts on his face. Hence, the title of the blog post. Walk, Christopher! Don't run all the time!  Poor baby is all scratched up. Somehow he looks even cuter though.
He looked so snazzy today.

His helmet arrived Wednesday but I didn't torture Ms. Jeanne by making him wear it to daycare.

The first fall.

Christopher had a great time this past weekend with Kate... when he decided that he liked her. LOL. Here are a few pics that Kate sent me that she took!

Christopher was so excited Kate was here that he couldn't get off the floor!

Hanging out!

If that doesn't scream "I'm a tough guy" I don't know what does!

Giggling like crazy with Kate!

Such a sweet face. Thanks mom for putting on my shoes!

We took Daddy on the train Sunday! Matt has never experienced the mall train before.... We were all very nervous about what he might be like when it was over because the last few times he hasn't been a very happy camper! This time he took the train ending well though thankfully! He wasn't too happy though at the beginning when we were next in line and realized we couldn't get on yet! That was a fun stroller ride around JCPenney to calm him down.

Happy boy! I love how he holds on to the ticket the whole way!

Kate got to babysit Christopher so I could take Stroonz to the vet. Stuffing Stroonz into the carrier scared the crap out of Christopher though. Everytime we would try, Stroonz would freak out and then Christopher would cry and cry. It was quite adventurous. I wish we had set up a video camera to film it!

I wish Kate was here to write about this picture she sent me. I got it and thought "awwww.... how sweet" but when I got home Kate informed me about the real meaning of the picture. Christopher was testing Ms. Kate!

We had a dance party before our workout (aka...when Kate got injured).

Sunday morning Matt fulfilled his dream of making a fort with Christopher. It wasn't the best because it was a very sporadic fort building session but Christopher loved it and now we know what we need to get for the next time.

We used the basketball hoop, the big car, 2 chairs, the couch and bunch of blankets. Sheets would have been better but now we know for next time!

Everyone was in there!

Thank goodness it is almost Friday!!! This week really has flown by, I always think how great that is for the school year, but how sad it is because our life is just flying by. Christopher has seemed to grow up tremendously just within the past few weeks. I love all the words he is saying and all the mimicing he is doing of us.

We are taking Christopher on an adventure Saturday so I will blog about that when we return!
Enjoy your weekend!

Randomness....

Well, here we are.. another week later! Mom and Dad have gone home, but now Kate is here visiting. (Actually she left us tonight to go spend time with Anthony, but she is in Atlanta nonetheless!) Christopher was loving being back at daycare this week. Whenever I go to get him out of the car, he does this whole leg kick and squeal thing. Ms. Jeanne posted tons of pictures of him too from this week. I always love that. I included one that was my favorite.

Tonight we went to dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings with Anthony. Christopher was sitting across from Kate and kept looking at her and saying "ba" and no one knew what he was talking about... so he just kept saying it louder and louder and then he picked up a crayon and started swinging his arms back and forth. We were all like.... weirdo. THEN I looked above Kate's head and there was a huge TV with the Little League World Series on. DUH. "Ba" equaled bat and the swinging of the crayon was him doing it!  Too cute!

Nana and Granddaddy the night before they left at Mellow!

Our best family pic at Mellow.

Cheersing with daddy once he got there from work!

Sweet boy.

Christopher loves playing with his Tickle Monster gloves.

Tickling Daddy!

We squirt Stroonz with that when he gets on the table. Christopher prefers to squirt people.

Random I know. My favorite workout pic from last weekend!

Playing the drums!

This is one of the pictures I took off Ms. Jeanne's page. Pure happiness right?!?!

This is what happens after Christopher throws a fit. Our neighbor had out there little electric car and he wanted it... bad. We had to come inside to let him throw his fit which entailed him being on the floor crying... and crying and kicking his feet. This is when he was all pooped out from it.  (But need not worry Christopher- mommy ordered you one today!)

We went back to Miss L's today! Christopher sat frozen like this for about a minute just staring at the train going by.

I need to get to uploading some videos to DropBox. I will work on that tonight and be back soon with some new videos! Have a great weekend!

Back to Reality

Can you tell someone is back to work?!?! It has been forever since I have blogged! Like.. maybe almost 2 weeks! But don't worry- we are still here and now that school has officially started I am sure I will be back more often. The week leading up to school starting and the first few days are always tiring and hectic but hopefully it slows down mentally and physically now that we are back in full swing!

Kate never came to visit. It was a very sad day when she told us she wasn't coming- BUT she is coming next weekend instead so Christopher still gets to see her. In fact, he just got done giving her kisses on FaceTime so I know he is excited to see her. Mom and dad came... dad left.. and mom is still here taking care of Christopher. She has actually watched him all week, which has been nice for me because I can go to work and come home as I need!

The pictures I have are from the last two weeks!

I was going to write a blog post about his Sunday Funday with his buddy Austin... but never got around to it- Here are some of those pictures! I love the sequence of these pictures because it shows Austin coming to join Christopher... them hanging out and then Chrstopher leaving.

And some of the other randoms...

On top of everything- all the time.

Riding the train at the mall. He screamed bloody murder when it was time to get off.

Hanging out at the pet shop with daddy at lunch!

Cleaning.
Chillin with his buddy Austin at his buddy Nicholas' birthday party!

Matt said he kept going in and laying down in his closet... so he covered him up.

Heading over to Miss Tiffany's for some fun!

Christopher really loves riding face first- especially when daddy blares the music and opens the sunroof. WHOA.

We were trying to get him a job on a Basic 4 commercial. Maybe someone will see it. :)

This child is all about his iPod and some Jack Johnson. Unfortunately though last night he somehow turned on the alarm clock on his little player. Not fun for Matt when it went off while we sleeping!

He ate almost his whole lunch like this one day. He thought he was hilarious.

Dinner with Uncle Anthony Monday evening before dad left to go back home!

Mom and Dad surprised me by bringing me our keyboard from when we were YOUNG- really young. I'm still just as terrible as I was then, but now I get to annoy Matt with my playing and singing instead of my parents and brother!

And now for a couple videos..
Jaw Dropper  (may have seen if you are friends with Matt on Facebook!)

That's it for now! Have a great weekend!
