Granddaddy's Visit

My sister in law posted this picture on Facebook.

I kept warning my dad that between the ear infection that seemed to last forever and the teething, Christopher hadn't fully slept through the nights in weeks. Nothing so bad that we lost large amounts of sleep over... but just enough to be annoying! This picture summed in up completely. Dad likes to brag about how late he sleeps in now, so I warned him we would probably be up around 6:30 every morning and since he stays in the guest room downstairs, he would be waking up early. Apparently Christopher didn't want to disappoint Granddaddy because our little sleeper was back this weekend. In fact, Matt and I actually did a High-5 when we heard him talking Friday morning at 7:25 (which may not be sleeping in to some but Christopher gets up every day at 5:45 so it was HUGE for us) and every day it has been a little later! After three weeks, we all needed the sleep interruptions to go away!

We didn't have a lot planned for Granddaddy's visit except for Friday. We made reservations to go on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway again! Christopher loved it so much the first time and Granddaddy loves trains.
Getting ready to go to bed- Granddaddy's first night!

Waiting for the train to start!

This was taken when we got back on the train and were getting ready to head home.

Giving kisses. I love that he puckers his lips out now when kissing...

and he even kisses with his eyes and mouth open!

We took a later train this time so we didn't eat in McCaysville except for getting a cupcake at the Cupcake Shoppe (which was on Cupcake Wars). Instead we took Christopher to the park that they had there... and by park, I mean a very small area with a slide and some swings. But the slide was super high and fast and Christopher loved it!

Christopher came out to work out with mommy and Uncle Anthony Saturday morning!

He liked collecting rocks and putting them in the cone.

When we came back inside, Granddaddy made sausage. Christopher gobbled it right down! Notice he is sitting in the regular chair and not his normal seat. Such a big boy.

And the rest are some random pics.

Christopher eating his cereal. It would be nice if he would let me help him, but no. Christopher doesn't normally get cereal during the week because he takes FOREVER to eat it... because he doesn't let anyone help him.

We went out to dinner Wednesday night. We do not normally go out to eat during the week because we are so busy, but I was exhausted this night and wanted to try out this restuarant!

And here is a video of Christopher doing the tomahawk chop.

Christopher and I get one more day together tomorrow and then back to work on Tuesday! I am loving these furlough days!! :) :)
