Beginning of our Trip

We left early Saturday morning in hopes that Christopher would eat breakfast at home and then fall back to sleep when we got in the car. We aren't "leave at 3 in the morning so the baby will sleep" type of people, so we left at 6:30- which worked out great. He did fall back asleep for about 2 hours and then was super good the rest of the way. He read books and played with his toys.

We finally stopped around 11 and I got in the back with Christopher to feed him lunch and control the iPad for his video pleasure. We downloaded Despicable Me for him which kept him busy for a bit... and then he realized that his feet would control the iPad, so the rest of the trip (which was only about an hour) was a lot of me trying to rig it so his feet wouldn't touch it!

After our great tour of Radford, we stopped at yummy Macado's for lunch!

This is the whole reason we stopped there! I always try to recreate it at home, but it never comes out the same- probably because I use the thin bagels and one slice of pepperoni. I will make those changes next time!

We stopped overnight in Blacksburg for a wedding. Christopher obviously did not understand behavior at weddings because he ran and ran and ran. I didn't even see the actual wedding. It was up at a winery so there was lots of space for him to run and scream. Needless to say, Nana and Granddaddy came and picked him up soon after!

Matt flew home on Sunday and we drove back to Virginia Beach. Mom did a great job getting toys for Christopher to play with there but we did bring the tunnel! It folds up so small and he always enjoys it!

The first night we were here we took a stroller ride down to the park....

to go on the swings!

When we visited in February we tried this, but it was super cold so it wasn't nearly as enjoyable. I think Christopher's favorite part of this trip was the bridge on the playscape which he ran back and forth on over and over and over.

Reading one of Nana's romance novels-
He must of read something he shouldn't have!

Since it was rainy on Monday, we went to the McArthur Mall. This is Christopher looking through the glass elevator there. We only stayed a little bit, as someone was doing his squeals and being pretty loud.

Christopher got this new toy at the mall. He enjoys pushing and pulling it around.

He got the most joy out of pulling the tunnel around and around the downstairs. As long as he is pulling or pushing something, he is pretty happy!

Yesterday was a mix of sun and rain, so we took our chances and went to the...

zoo!
Here are Christopher and Nana looking at the birds.
I didn't get too many pictures while we were there.

The turtledoves.

Running around like a wild man when we got home! He managed to get his arm through his tank top.

Nana bought mini ice cream cones- just the perfect size for Christopher!

Eating and pushing.

And here we are this morning- dancing to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!

Christopher is about to go down for his nap and then we are heading to Ms. Neely's to go to the pool!
