The 25 Days of Christopher- Day 7

What do you do when you promise a trip to the ice skating rink and you get there 10 minutes before closing time.... you have to go to the mall to ride the train. I hate the mall- especially at Christmastime. But Christopher's heart was just crushed. He had been waiting all day to go to the ice skating rink and we didn't even think to check the times for public skate. Oops. He loves the train and when we got home, he took off his shoes and "skated" around the kitchen. Best of both worlds.

Can we please get a nice picture together at some point Christopher?!?

All aboard!

Matt got Christopher his little tree. Not the one I would have gotten, but I won't complain since he went and got him one finally.

We had to take Nana with us. I don't know how to ice skate, so I told Matt if he wanted to take C then he needed to take a backup helper.

This morning they had the children's mass at church. Christopher went up there with all the kids.. and then turned around and came right back for me. He had some major ants in his pants today at church. Thankfully so did lots of other kids... full moon? God I hope not for teachers' sake. Our book for tonight was perfect for a Sunday...

The Story of Christmas. It was all about baby Jesus and the nativity and why we give gifts. Hopefully the next time C starts to play with his nativity people, he will make the connection.

We finally got to see the whole elf thing in person. Christopher was super tired when we got home- not that it's an excuse, but when he gets woken up before he wants to be- he is quite the bear. Anyway, he got put in timeout and was just a little punk. After about 5 minutes, I said, "I hope Whoa doesn't go and tell Santa about how you are acting." Bam. Stopped the crying, told Matt he was sorry, and hugs all around. Can the elf stay year round?!?!?

Hope everyone has a great week!
Be kind.
